The SVP will lead the development of the annual revenue plan, which will inform the fiscal budget and quarterly subscriber and revenue goals. Utilizing performance data across all distributors, the SVP leads the development of recommendations and plans to address areas of concern and identify opportunities for growth.

This is a hands-on job with the candidate required to personally build and execute strategic initiatives from start to completion including excel modelling, analysis of large datasets via SQL / Python / Tableau, deck building, and presentation to senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic deal support to Business Development and Legal teams during high-stakes contract negotiations
  • Serve as the primary business owner for monthly subscriber revenue budgets, ensuring financial models reflect real-world execution and market dynamics
  • Act as the lead liaison between Distribution, Analytics, and Finance to ensure total alignment between operating plans and actual performance
  • Serve as the final arbiter for account offers, pricing structures, and promotional initiatives, managing the internal consensus-building and senior leadership approval process
  • Define and track portfolio-wide KPIs to identify growth opportunities or areas of concern; implement rigorous planning and evaluation processes to ensure operational transparency
  • Synthesize complex data into high-impact presentations for executive leadership, offering clear recommendations on bundling, discount strategies, and deal structures
  • Conduct independent analysis and build tracking reports with minimal technical support, leveraging internal data to evaluate the ROI of promotions and strategic shifts
  • Manage one direct report

Qualifications & Skills

  • 15+ years of experience working in a subscription business with a strong preference for media, entertainment, or streaming
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and financial acumen, including advanced financial modeling and portfolio management
  • Persuasive communication skills, written and verbal, particularly the ability to develop presentations and plans and present them concisely to a range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in video, social media, mobile and their underlying business models and technologies
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally under tight deadlines on multiple projects with very small team
  • Previous experience with both third-party and DTC distribution data and analysis
  • Preference for deep experience writing SQL / Python to extract insights from large customer level datasets (1B+ records across multiple semantic layers) and working with visualization tools (Tableau strongly preferred)

Compensation
