AMP Sports is seeking a visionary, commercially minded Senior Vice President of Sports Podcast Revenue to lead the strategy, development, and performance of its growing sports media portfolio. This executive will oversee sports podcasts and audio, digital video, social-first programming, talent-led franchises, and multi-platform content experiences setting the creative and operating vision while building the teams, systems, and partnerships required to scale. The SVP will connect bold storytelling with disciplined portfolio management, using audience insight and business judgment to develop distinctive properties that deepen fandom, expand reach, and create long-term value. This role leads the media and content side of the business and partners closely with AMP Sales & Marketing Solutions and the Sports Partnerships & Activations team, which lead advertiser sales, sponsorships, and commercial activation.

What You’ll Do

  • Set and lead the overall vision, portfolio strategy, and multi-year growth plan for AMP Sports’ sports and audio business.

  • Oversee the development, greenlighting, programming, production, distribution, and performance of podcasts, audio series, digital video, social-first content, and talent-led sports franchises.

  • Build a clear portfolio architecture that defines priority audiences, content categories, platform roles, franchise opportunities, and investment decisions.

  • Identify and develop original intellectual property around athletes, creators, teams, leagues, cultural moments, and underserved areas of sports fandom.

  • Lead and develop senior content, production, programming, audience, and operations leaders; establish clear accountability, decision rights, and an ambitious, collaborative culture.

  • Own the sports and audio operating plan, budgets, resource allocation, production economics, and performance reviews, balancing creative ambition with sustainable growth and financial discipline.

  • Create an integrated distribution strategy across podcast platforms, YouTube, social channels, web, streaming, FAST, broadcast, and other relevant Sinclair platforms.

  • Use audience research, platform analytics, competitive intelligence, and performance data to guide programming, talent, distribution, investment, and lifecycle decisions.

  • Develop and maintain high-value relationships with athletes, hosts, creators, producers, leagues, teams, rights holders, platforms, studios, and other strategic content partners.

  • Lead talent and creator strategy, including identification, recruitment, development, relationship management, and partnership with legal and business affairs on agreements and rights.

  • Partner closely with AMP Sales & Marketing Solutions and Sports Partnerships & Activations to create marketable franchises, sponsorable formats, and brand-safe integration opportunities while preserving audience trust and editorial integrity.

  • Establish operating standards for development, production, publishing, rights management, brand safety, quality control, measurement, and cross-platform execution.

  • Drive innovation in formats, workflows, technology, data, and responsible use of AI to improve storytelling, production efficiency, discovery, and audience engagement.

  • Represent AMP Sports with senior internal stakeholders and externally with talent, platforms, strategic partners, and the broader sports and media industry.

What You’ll Bring

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across sports media, podcasts or audio, digital video, social content, streaming, television, or a related content business.

  • 8+ years leading senior, multidisciplinary teams across content, production, programming, audience development, talent, and operations.

  • Demonstrated success building, scaling, or transforming a sports media or audio portfolio and developing recognizable content franchises.

  • Deep understanding of sports audiences, talent-led media, podcast and video ecosystems, YouTube and social platforms, programming strategy, and evolving consumption behaviors.

  • Strong creative instincts paired with executive-level business judgment, including experience with budgets, production economics, resource allocation, performance analysis, and portfolio decisions.

  • Track record of recruiting and developing high-impact talent, creators, producers, and leaders while building an inclusive, accountable culture.

  • Experience negotiating or overseeing complex content, talent, distribution, licensing, rights, production, or strategic partnership agreements in collaboration with legal and business affairs.

  • Ability to translate audience insight and cultural opportunity into distinctive content strategies and scalable operating plans.

  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • High integrity and sound judgment in matters involving talent, editorial standards, brand safety, intellectual property, rights, and audience trust.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a portfolio that spans podcasts, digital video, social, streaming, and traditional media distribution.

  • Established relationships across sports talent, leagues, teams, creators, podcast platforms, video platforms, studios, and production partners.

  • Experience launching new businesses, integrating teams or assets, or creating operating infrastructure during periods of rapid growth.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; advanced degree is a plus.

About AMP Sports

AMP Sports creates distinctive sports storytelling and fan experiences across podcasts, digital video, social, creator-led content, and emerging platforms. As part of Sinclair, the group combines an entrepreneurial approach with broad reach, strategic relationships, and the resources to build meaningful audiences and scalable media properties.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $250,000 to $325,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary quarterly and annual bonus which would be awarded based on individual and company performance. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
