BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting Systems/Technology Analysts for the OARS Financial Management (FM) System Consolidation Analysis and Roadmap effort. This role combines enterprise systems analysis, modernization planning and federal financial management knowledge.

What will you do

Assess the current technology environment and develop practical recommendations for consolidation and modernization. You will connect business requirements to future-state architectures and roadmaps, then translate those roadmaps into implementation guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate financial management systems, application portfolios, interfaces, APIs, databases and technical architectures to identify redundancies, integration challenges and modernization opportunities.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, solution architectures, data models, integration approaches and system recommendations.
  • Assess current-state environments and develop future-state technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives, technical capabilities and implementation priorities.
  • Support planning for system consolidation, application modernization, cloud adoption and enterprise architecture initiatives.
  • Translate roadmap recommendations into implementation guides, including data migration plans and system decommissioning checklists.
  • Account for federal financial operations, accounting, audit requirements, internal controls and compliance frameworks in technical analysis and recommendations.
Requirements
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience analyzing enterprise financial management systems and their applications, interfaces, APIs, databases and architectures.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, architectures, data models and integration approaches.
  • Experience supporting technology modernization and consolidation initiatives, developing roadmaps and preparing implementation guidance.
  • Understanding of federal accounting, financial operations, audit requirements, internal controls and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience applying federal financial management knowledge within DoD or other federal agencies.
