Job Description SummaryThe Assistant Controller for Technology & Operations, made up of Supply Chain and Engineering, will be responsible for supporting GE Aerospace’s priority of providing accurate, timely and GAAP-compliant financial information for use by internal and external stakeholders. The role will support the T&O Controller with operational and technical accounting matters and deliverables. Key responsibilities include driving technical accounting compliance with U.S. GAAP standards, supporting the preparation, review, and submission of data requests for 10-Q/10-K filings, maintaining financial and operational internal controls, and leading accounting process simplification through the application of Lean principles.Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide and document technical accounting guidance on key financial statement line items and disclosures such as inventory, capitalized assets, sourcing, and Disaggregation of Income Statement Expenses (DISE).

  • Proactively communicate with Finance and FP&A to ensure the impact of accounting matters are understood and forecasted timely

  • Assist with the review of T&O balance sheets and align commentary with operational drivers across integrated manufacturing shops, engineering sites, and supply chain.

  • Assist with preparing schedules and analysis in support of the quarterly Financial Reporting Package (FRP)

  • Partner with the T&O Controller on strategic initiatives, such as reducing close cycle time and accelerating account reconciliation cycles

  • Lead annual and semi-annual reviews across sites, including impairment reviews (e.g., intangibles and fixed assets) and physical inventories

  • Create, maintain and update SOPs

  • Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and remediate deficiencies timely

  • Drive adherence to U.S. GAAP, GE GAP, and GE Aerospace SOPs

  • Champion FLIGHT DECK by applying Lean principles, developing standard work, and using structured problem solving

  • Deliver controllership support for T&O ERP implementations or cross-business systems implementation

  • Assist with integration of newly acquired or reorganized shops/sites into T&O

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university or college

  • 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance position

  • Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant

The base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 - 183,000.00 SD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 4/16/26.
