Purpose:

To build and sustain BeOne’s long-term Research talent advantage through executive talent discovery, strategic market intelligence, scientific network development, and proactive talent community management.

This role partners closely with Research leaders, Hiring Managers, and Talent Acquisition teams to identify, engage, and cultivate highly specialized scientific talent globally, while developing sustainable talent pipelines that support both current and future business priorities.

Beyond traditional sourcing, this role serves as a strategic talent advisor, leveraging deep market expertise, talent intelligence, and scientific ecosystem engagement to ensure access to world-class scientific talent.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Executive Talent Scouting

  • Lead talent Scouting initiatives for critical Research positions, with a focus on senior and highly specialized scientific talent.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies across academia, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, research institutes, and innovation ecosystems.
  • Partner with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, HRBPs, and Research leaders to understand strategic talent requirements and develop proactive talent plans.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through innovative sourcing approaches and relationship-driven outreach.
  • Build talent pipelines for both immediate hiring needs and future organizational growth.
  • Act as a trusted partner in developing talent attraction strategies for highly competitive and business-critical positions

2. Talent Intelligence & Market Insights

  • Conduct talent mapping and competitive talent landscape analysis across therapeutic areas, research platforms, scientific disciplines, and target organizations.
  • Track industry trends, scientific talent movements, organizational developments, and emerging areas of expertise.
  • Deliver actionable market intelligence on talent availability, organization structures, talent density, and competitive talent landscapes.
  • Support workforce planning and strategic growth discussions through data-driven talent insights.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on market dynamics and talent trends impacting Research organizations.

3. Scientific Network Development & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Build and expand strategic talent networks across the global scientific community.
  • Proactively identify and engage established and emerging scientific leaders through industry conferences, professional forums, academic partnerships, and innovation ecosystems.
  • Develop relationships within key scientific and industry communities including:
    • JP Morgan Healthcare Conference and other major healthcare industry events
    • Scientific congresses and professional research forums
    • Leading academic institutions and research organizations
    • Professional scientific associations and societies
    • Biotechnology and pharmaceutical innovation hubs
  • Leverage scientific publications, patents, conference presentations, and industry recognition to identify high-potential talent.
  • Strengthen BeOne’s visibility and employer reputation within the scientific community through ongoing talent engagement and relationship building.

4. Scientific Talent Community & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with distinguished scientists, research leaders, and emerging scientific talent globally.
  • Develop targeted talent communities aligned with priority therapeutic areas, research platforms, and future pipeline needs.
  • Manage and continuously enrich strategic Research talent databases and talent networks.
  • Maintain proactive engagement through scientific events, publications, professional forums, and personalized outreach.
  • Track talent movement, scientific achievements, publications, patents, leadership progression, and organizational changes to anticipate future hiring opportunities.
  • Transform talent databases into active, sustainable talent pipelines supporting long-term workforce needs.

5. Sourcing Innovation & Capability Building

  • Utilize advanced sourcing methodologies, talent intelligence tools, scientific research resources, publications, conferences, professional networks, and referral channels.
  • Leverage AI-enabled sourcing technologies and market research tools to improve sourcing effectiveness and scalability.
  • Continuously optimize talent discovery strategies through data insights and market feedback.
  • Share market intelligence and sourcing best practices across the Talent Acquisition organization.
  • Contribute to the evolution of a world-class Research Talent Scouting capability that supports BeOne’s long-term innovation agenda.

Required Qualifications:

  • Mandarin and English are fluency.
  • Flexible working hour with APAC team
  • 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, 5+ experience in Executive Search, Talent sourcing, talent intelligence, or specialized scientific recruiting.
  • Outside the box thinker/disruptor
  • A true Sourcer/Hunter/Scout Mindset
  • Proven success identifying and engaging passive candidates for highly specialized or leadership-level positions.
  • Experience supporting Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Research, or Innovation-focused organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent mapping, organizational research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis.
  • Strong sourcing capability utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other research platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, consulting, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market intelligence into actionable business insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Experience supporting executive-level or highly specialized Research hiring.
  • Prior experience conducting strategic talent intelligence and workforce planning projects.
  • Familiarity with talent intelligence and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Talent Insights, SeekOut, HireEZ, Talent Neuron, GEM, or similar solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the global scientific talent landscape and research ecosystem.

Salary Range: $ - $ per hour

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
