Summary

TopstepTV is leveling up from a trading channel into a digital entertainment brand where futures traders, finance nerds, business watchers, and “chronically online” culture all collide.

To support our expanding editorial universe and elevate our on-air presence, we’re looking for a Talent Booker who is equal parts finance, markets, and tech enthusiast, connector, negotiator, and culture-obsessed strategist — someone who can identify high-value guests, secure them quickly, and shepherd them through the production pipeline with editorial precision.

We’re looking for a Talent Booker who:

  • Tracks cultural trends, breaking news, and social conversation with instinctual speed.
  • Maintains strong relationships with publicists, talent reps, authors, experts, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Thinks creatively about editorial angles, timing, and cultural relevance.
  • Can negotiate terms, manage expectations, and protect the show’s voice, values, and editorial integrity.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume booking environment.

If you’re a relationship-driven operator with sharp editorial instincts and a deep network, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Editorial Support

  • Maintain an active network of publicists, talent reps, publishers, creators, and industry contacts to source guests quickly.
  • Proactively pitch TopstepTV as a platform for talent, experts, authors, analysts, and cultural personalities.
  • Monitor editorial calendars, political cycles, market events, and cultural moments to generate timely guest ideas.
  • Collaborate with Trader Support, Social, and the Director of Brand Partnerships & Talent to identify personalities within the Topstep ecosystem for on-camera opportunities.
  • Conduct pre-interviews to surface story arcs, key quotes, and anecdotes.
  • Identify potential editorial risks, including controversies, legal issues, or reputation concerns, and escalate when necessary.

Talent Negotiation & Booking

  • Secure commitments from talent and their representatives, including confirming appearance type (interview, demo, conversation).
  • Negotiate terms of appearance: segment framing, talking points, logistics, deliverables, and promotional restrictions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between production and external talent teams, ensuring information flows cleanly and quickly.
  • Provide real-time updates to producers regarding delays, concerns, energy levels, schedule changes, or special requirements.

Required Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in booking, talent relations, editorial production, or a related media role.
  • Strong network of publicists, reps, authors, experts, analysts, and emerging talent.
  • Sharp editorial instincts — able to identify what (and who) makes a strong segment.
  • Experience negotiating appearance terms and managing sensitive or high-profile relationships.
  • Ability to track multiple cultural cycles: business, markets, news, politics, entertainment, and online trends.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to relay editorial needs and production requirements clearly.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple bookings simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with digital-first production and the expectations of on-air and social-native content.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and accountability.

Company Culture & Perks

  • Topstep is an engaging working environment which ranges from fully remote to hybrid. We foster a culture of collaboration with cameras on during meetings and a robust Slack environment for communication.
  • 10 Company paid Holidays and generous Family Leave. Paid time off is accrued monthly.
  • Competitive 401(k) matching, health, dental, and vision insurance is offered for full time employees
  • Vacations are encouraged with a bonus for taking 5 consecutive days. Employee referrals are bonused. Topstep offers a food and groceries budget and contributes towards health and wellness.

New Hire Base Salary Range

  • $120,000-$140,000
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
  • The compensation offered will take into account internal compensation structure and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Topstep is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all employees and applicants are valued. All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status, in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
