Job Description

We are looking for a programmatic-native operator and strategist to serve as the primary client support contact for our PMP partners. This person will act as the internal expert on deal health and technical troubleshooting, ensuring our active programmatic deals are optimized for success and our buyers receive best-in-class, 'white-glove' service.

What You'll Do:

Deal Operations & Troubleshooting

  • Partner with the implementation team responsible for initial setup to oversee post-launch deal health, which includes managing QA, tracking performance, and troubleshooting across various SSP partners such as Google Ad Manager, Magnite, OpenX, and Index Exchange.
  • Diagnose and resolve deal delivery issues across the full programmatic supply chain, from bid request to impression
  • Partner with DSP teams (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Yahoo DSP, etc.) to troubleshoot deal ID setup, targeting, and spend pacing
  • Identify and escalate technical discrepancies between SSP and DSP reporting
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop/deploy AI tools to streamline and automate Deal ID troubleshooting

Client & Partner Support

  • Act as the programmatic subject matter expert for Agency and Brand buyers for day-to-day delivery issues, creative rejections, and pacing concerns
  • Support the Client Services team in responding to buyer inquiries related to deal performance, scaling, discrepancies, and optimization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with programmatic trading desks and DSP account teams
  • Drive proactive deal optimization based on one or more KPIs (e.g. viewability, CTR, client-specific) and proactive bid guidance to the client (e.g. based on the bid data we see, if you increase your bid by 10% your win rate will increase by 30%)

Revenue Optimization & Insights

  • Analyze deal-level data to surface insights on win rates, bid density, CPM trends, and fill rates as well as identify technical bottlenecks (e.g., floor price, creative rejections, targeting overlap)
  • Collaborate with Yield Management to optimize floor pricing and deal structures
  • Proactively identify underperforming deals and recommend corrective actions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Ad Operations, Product, and Engineering to improve programmatic infrastructure and buyer experience
  • Contribute to the development of internal playbooks, deal setup best practices, and troubleshooting documentation

Qualifications

What You Bring:

Required

  • 3 - 6 years of experience in programmatic advertising, with a focus on PMP optimization
  • Deep hands-on experience with SSP platforms (GAM/AdX, Magnite, Index Exchange, OpenX, Xandr, or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of DSP platforms (The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon DSP, etc.) and how buyers configure PMP deals
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot deal delivery issues across the programmatic supply chain
  • Familiarity with programmatic deal types: PMP, PG, Open Auction, Preferred Deals
  • Strong analytical skills; comfort with Excel/Google Sheets and reporting platforms
  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong customer-service orientation; comfortable acting as a technical consultant for external trading desks.
  • Proven ability to manage high-pressure client relationships and de-escalate programmatic delivery issues.

Preferred

  • Experience on the publisher/supply side of programmatic
  • Knowledge of header bidding, OpenRTB protocols, and auction mechanics
  • Familiarity with data products, audience targeting, and contextual advertising
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
