General Summary
The Technical Design Assistant is responsible for supporting the Technical Design department throughout the entire pre-production approval process. This position supports the Wholesale Apparel business.
The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for fitting by measuring garments
- Assist in fittings by taking notes and photos
- Schedule fittings and fit times for multiple product categories
- Enter new order details into tracking spreadsheets and request samples from the showroom
- Communicate with overseas factories
- Track and follow up on pending samples
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications
- College degree in Technical Design / Pattern Making / Fashion Design
- Minimum of 1 year experience in related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Illustrator
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Previous related experience in a fast-paced environment.
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.00-$26.00. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
