Technical Designer

We are seeking a Technical Designer to support our Head of Technical Design in creating the best fitting, most quality running apparel on the market.

• Own technical development from initial sample through production, ensuring fit and quality aligns with company standards without sacrificing design intent
• Create and maintain accurate tech packs, specs and construction details in PLM
• Measure samples and evaluate patterns, construction and workmanship
• Lead live model fittings and translate team feedback into clear, actionable directives
• Make technical recommendations that support fit, function and manufacturability
• Support wear testing to validate fit, performance and durability
• Communicate directly with factory partners to ensure technical direction is clearly understood and executed
• Maintain seasonal timelines and approvals, proactively identifying risks and following through on open issues

• Contribute to the evolution of Bandit's fit, construction and technical processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing solutions

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Design, preferably in activewear
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities
• Proficiency in PLM (Centric), 2D pattern making (Optitex) and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Browzwear or other 3D programs is a plus
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Collaborative approach to working cross-functionally with Design, Product Development and Production teams

• This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Greenpoint, Brooklyn headquarters

Salary: $100,000-$115,000 + equity.
