Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Drive end-to-end delivery of EDI projects, including migration, upgrades, onboarding of trading partners, and new integrations.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business teams, IT, vendors, and trading partners to capture requirements and manage expectations.

  • Technical Oversight:

    • Oversee EDI mapping, translation, and transaction flows (X12, EDIFACT, XML, CSV, JSON, etc.).

    • Collaborate with EDI developers and integration specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Support migration of EDI processes from on-premises to cloud platforms (Azure Logic Apps or equivalent).

  • Documentation & Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT), maintain mapping specifications, and create technical/project documentation.

  • Risk & Quality Management: Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity, security, and SLA compliance.

  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency, automation, and scalability of EDI processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in EDI project management and technical EDI systems.

    • Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA transactions preferred).

    • Proven experience with integration tools (Azure Logic Apps, BizTalk, MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent).

    • Track record of delivering complex migration/integration projects.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Understanding of data mapping, translation, and APIs.

    • Familiarity with databases (SQL), file transfer protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN).

    • Cloud integration knowledge (Azure preferred).

  • Project Management Skills:

    • Proficient in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

    • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.

    • Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.
