About Mirantis

Mirantis is the Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company, enabling organizations to build and operate scalable, secure, and sovereign infrastructure for modern AI, machine learning, and data-intensive applications. By combining open source innovation with deep expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, Mirantis empowers platform engineering teams to deliver composable, production-ready developer platforms across any environment—on-premises, in the cloud, at the edge, or in sovereign data centers. As enterprises navigate the growing complexity of AI-driven workloads, Mirantis delivers the automation, GPU orchestration, and policy-driven control needed to manage infrastructure with confidence and agility. Committed to open standards and freedom from lock-in, Mirantis ensures that customers retain full control of their infrastructure strategy.

Job Description

Mirantis is looking for a Director of Technical Product Marketing to build the technical marketing function for our Provider business, centered on k0rdent AI Provider Edition, our control plane for GPU infrastructure and distributed AI workloads. This is a founding role. You will build the technical collateral engine from the ground up, establishing Mirantis as a credible authority among NeoClouds, GPU clouds, and telcos.

This is not a corporate marketing role. The ideal candidate is a deeply technical contributor who is hands on with the product: standing up environments, running demos, pressure-testing claims against real deployments, and translating platform capabilities (GPU orchestration, multi-tenancy, bare-metal automation, inference serving, billing and chargeback integration) into materials that win technical evaluations. You will work directly with product management, engineering, product marketing, and the field, and you will sit in deals when the technical narrative decides the outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Create the technical product marketing function for the Provider practice, including persona definitions, collateral roadmap, content standards, and the connection between product capability and sales motion

  • Develop the materials that carry a deal: technical white papers, reference architectures, competitive teardowns, solution briefs, demo environments, evaluation guides, and RFP/RFI response content

  • Directly support pipeline development, partnering with sales and solution architects to convert prospects to opportunities and opportunities to closed business through technical storytelling, demos, and proof-point development

  • Get hands on with k0rdent AI: operate the platform, validate positioning claims against real GPU cluster deployments, and feed what you learn back into messaging and product direction

  • Partner with the product marketing team on launch content, analyst engagement, and campaign narratives; ensure everything the market sees is technically accurate and differentiated

  • Develop competitive intelligence for the Provider segment, tracking hyperscaler on-premises offerings, GPU cloud management platforms, and open source alternatives, and arming the field with battle cards and objection handling

  • Represent Mirantis with customers, prospects, analysts, and ecosystem partners as a credible technical voice on GPU infrastructure, AI cloud economics, and sovereign AI

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in technical product marketing, technical marketing engineering, solutions architecture, or product management for infrastructure software, with at least 3 years in a leadership or function-building role
  • Strong technical fluency across the AI infrastructure stack: Kubernetes, GPU orchestration and scheduling, bare-metal provisioning, multi-tenancy, and inference serving

  • Proven record of producing technical collateral that moved revenue: reference architectures, competitive analyses, technical demos, and evaluation content tied to won deals

  • Ability to run a demo, stand up a proof of concept, and hold a whiteboard session with a customer's infrastructure team without a solutions architect in the room

  • Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles, including RFP/RFI responses and technical evaluations, in partnership with field teams

Strongly Preferred:

  • Direct experience marketing or selling to NeoClouds, GPU clouds, telcos, or sovereign cloud operators

  • Working knowledge of GPU infrastructure economics, including capacity monetization, billing and chargeback models, and FinOps for AI workloads

  • Familiarity with the NVIDIA ecosystem (DGX, NVLink, NCCL, NIM) and adjacent technologies such as RDMA fabrics, DPUs, and high-performance storage

  • Background in open source infrastructure communities or developer-facing technical content
