Job Description
The Product Owner leads product strategy and delivery by aligning business goals with development priorities. They manage the backlog, define roadmaps, and turn strategy into actionable work while partnering across teams.
Using data and customer insights, they guide decisions, track performance, and ensure clear communication, driving continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize epics, stories, and themes to align with the product vision and strategic goals.
- Define and manage product deliveries, release plans, and feature scope in collaboration with platform leadership.
- Draft key product objectives and strategies, leveraging data to make informed business decisions.
- Define and review KPIs and apply analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback to refine product features.
- Convert functional specifications into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Own and refine the product backlog; lead backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions.
- Define release plans and manage progress through development and QA phases in collaboration with the Scrum Master.
- Lead software gate reviews, including formal and informal handoffs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during product visioning and concept development.
- Translate complex sprint outcomes and technical updates into business-friendly summaries for broader audiences.
- Serve as the voice of the customer across engineering, UX, QA, and business teams.
- Raise risks and impediments proactively to program leadership.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and technical dependencies.
- Drive continuous improvement in product development practices.
- Thrive in a team-oriented culture, valuing collaboration, shared accountability, and a “win as a team” attitude.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within software product development.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban); SAFe experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to write clear user stories and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience working closely with engineering, QA, UX, and other cross-functional teams.
- PO Certification preferred; Scrum Master certification a bonus.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
