At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Roles

These Technical Program Manager roles will lead critical initiatives across Netflix’s Cloud Infrastructure and its AI Platform, partnering closely on migrations, adoption, and scalability of these infrastructure platforms. Each role will drive high-impact, cross-functional programs supporting different areas:

One role will support Netflix’s Cloud Infrastructure, focusing on fleet-wide modernization, agility, scalability, reliability, and efficiency while abstracting complexity for internal customer teams. This role requires experience driving Cloud Infrastructure scalability, reliability, and efficiency at a large scale, a proven ability to develop deep internal customer relationships, and an understanding of how to adapt cloud infrastructure for changing business needs.
Netflix’s Cloud Infrastructure serves as the backbone for Netflix's growing scale and engineering productivity, representing a critical strategic capability spanning compute, networking, storage, infrastructure management, performance engineering, and platform services.

One role will support Netflix’s AI Platform, focusing on adoption, scalability, modernization, and internal partnerships while abstracting complexity for internal customer teams. This role requires proven experience improving and scaling machine learning infrastructure for in-product use, building long-term solutions with both engineers and ML practitioners, a proven ability to develop deep internal customer relationships, and an understanding of AI/ML in-product lifecycles.
Netflix’s AI Platform enables ML and AI practitioners to seamlessly develop, train, deploy, serve, and manage models, empowering rapid innovation and business impact at every stage of the ML/AI lifecycle.

One role will support both areas and requires at least the core TPM competencies listed below.

All roles will own and drive multiple cross-functional programs in collaboration with technical teams that focus on scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure, ensuring that infrastructure investments deliver meaningful outcomes for both platform reliability and customer needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives that drive adoption and scalability of infrastructure platforms, including large-scale platform modernization, migrations, and feature rollouts.

  • Partner closely with leaders, engineers, PMs, and practitioners to decompose complex problem spaces into technical execution plans with well-defined milestones, ownership, and success criteria.

  • Drive execution rigor by tracking progress, managing dependencies, and proactively identifying risks, trade-offs, and mitigation strategies while implementing minimal process.

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with technical leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks, and decisions.

  • Use insights from program execution to influence platform evolution, architectural direction, and operational practices over time.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience leading large-scale technical programs in infrastructure, internal platforms, or distributed systems, working directly with engineering teams.

  • Experience driving programs across infrastructure layers to develop scalable platforms that support diverse business needs.

  • Proven experience creating partnerships with cross-functional teams, driving large-scale technical strategies, debating technical approaches, and building long-term scalable solutions with engineers.

  • Proven ability to identify gaps in solutions and weigh in on product vs. technology trade-offs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical constraints, trade-offs, and business impact to diverse audiences.

  • Self-starter who enjoys quickly bringing organization and direction.

  • Proven ability to operate in 0→1 and evolving problem spaces, quickly bringing order and execution discipline without adding too much process.

  • Understanding of challenges in high-scale distributed systems, architectures, and data layers.

What sets you apart?
  • You can drive from strategy to execution with minimal direction.

  • You enjoy orchestrating programs with many moving parts - people, needs, and technologies.

  • You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, pulling data to provide insight, debug issues, and monitor system health.

  • You have a data-driven mindset in your decision-making.

  • You have a deep understanding and point of view within your technical domain(s) of expertise.

  • You have a healthy blend of technical knowledge with a customer-focused mindset and empathy.

  • You are a strong systems thinker with the ability to connect infrastructure capabilities to business outcomes.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with fleet-wide cloud efficiency and/or building a culture of cost efficiency.

  • Experience with machine learning training and experimentation.

  • Experience with machine learning pipelines.

  • Experience with inference at production scale.

  • Experience applying AWS cloud services at a large scale.

  • Experience with Kubernetes used natively in platform services.

  • Experience with 3rd party vendors/tools for training and inference experimentation uses.
