Technical Program Manager, Marketplace

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support execution within our Marketplace Engineering Pod. This role reports directly to the VP of Product and operates as a peer to Product Managers across the organization. While roadmap prioritization for Marketplace initiatives is set by the Chief Marketplace Officer, this role owns the operational execution required to bring those priorities to life efficiently and predictably.

You will manage the day-to-day execution of the Marketplace Pod, ensuring that engineering work is clearly defined, sequenced appropriately, and delivered on time. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Vendor Relations, and external partners to keep critical integration and monetization initiatives moving forward.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed for a strong operator with 2 - 4 years of experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys driving clarity, structure, and momentum across complex workstreams.

• Own the day-to-day operational management of the Marketplace Engineering Pod via Jira and sprint ceremonies.
• Translate Marketplace priorities into clearly defined, actionable execution plans in partnership with Product and Engineering.
• Ensure stories are well-scoped, dependencies are identified, and blockers are surfaced early.
• Report on and provide visibility into roadmap progress and delivery timelines.
• Drive accountability across workstreams to ensure predictable, high-quality releases.

• Serve as a key point of contact for external vendors during integration efforts.
• Track technical requirements, milestones, and follow-ups to ensure integration initiatives stay on schedule.
• Proactively resolve coordination gaps between internal engineering teams and external partners.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders including GTM, Vendor Relations, Data, and Finance to ensure Marketplace initiatives align with broader business objectives.
• Communicate execution status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to leadership.
• Escalate execution risks appropriately while maintaining forward momentum.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders including GTM, Operations, and Data to gather information to properly scope projects and work through blockers.

• Establish and maintain best practices for sprint planning, ticket hygiene, and delivery reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve Marketplace pod efficiency and execution quality.
• Contribute to scaling operational discipline as the Marketplace function grows.

• 2–4 years of experience in a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar execution-focused role.
• Experience working closely with Engineering teams in an Agile development environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
• This role is NYC-based with flexible in-office mandate; preference for at least 2-3 days/week in-office per week.

• Experience using Jira (or similar project management tools) to manage sprints and track delivery.
• Familiarity with API-based integrations, vendor connectivity workflows, or external system coordination.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts at a working level (coding experience not required).

• The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $105,000–$125,000. Actual compensation and title will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
