We are seeking a driven and strategic Tech / Engineering Sourcer to support hiring across Engineering, Product, and Data functions in our New York City office. In this contract role, you will partner closely with Recruiters and hiring teams to identify, engage, and nurture top-tier technical talent in a highly competitive market.

You’ll play a critical role in developing creative sourcing strategies, mapping technical talent landscapes, and building diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives on research, outreach, and relationship-building, and who enjoys connecting exceptional technical talent with impactful opportunities.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-caliber technical talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, AI tools, and other innovative channels

  • Build and maintain strong, diverse pipelines for key technical roles, including software engineering (frontend, backend, full-stack), data engineering, data science, and product management

  • Conduct market mapping and talent research to provide insights on competitor landscapes, talent availability, and compensation trends in the NYC market

  • Engage and qualify passive candidates through outreach and initial screening conversations, assessing technical alignment, motivations, and role fit before recruiter handoff

  • Craft compelling, tailored outreach messaging that resonates with technical audiences and reflects the employer brand

  • Track and report on sourcing metrics such as response rates, pipeline health, time-to-slate, and diversity representation

  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through clear, timely communication during sourcing and early-stage engagement

  • Continuously refine sourcing strategies by staying current on industry trends, tools, and best practices

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience sourcing for technical roles, including software engineering (frontend, backend, full-stack), data engineering/science, and product management

  • Strong understanding of modern technical stacks, frameworks, and tools (e.g., programming languages, cloud platforms, data technologies), with the ability to assess candidate alignment in initial conversations

  • Demonstrated experience conducting technical market mapping, including competitor and talent landscape analysis in New York

  • Ability to engage and qualify passive technical candidates, effectively evaluating skills, motivations, and potential fit

  • Experience leveraging AI sourcing tools and talent intelligence platforms

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with recruiters and stakeholders

It will be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience supporting Commercial / GTM hiring (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships)

  • Experience conducting international market mapping (e.g., London or other major tech hubs)

Initial term of six (6) months. The hourly range for this role is $45 - $50. We enjoy an ‘office-first’ culture and maximize opportunities to collaborate, connect and learn together. This role is based in our NYC office.
