Outform is seeking a Technology Account Director to join our team. Outform builds cutting-edge interactive displays for today's retail environments. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Account Director to join our dynamic team in the retail industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital transformation within retail and a proven track record of successfully managing complex technology programs that drive strategic initiatives forward and deliver growth. In this role, you will work with retailer clients and their various internal departments to manage and grow key accounts. You will collaborate closely with clients' cross-functional teams — including merchandising, marketing, media, IT, facilities, and operations — ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
DIRECT REPORTS
This role does not have direct reports. The Technology Account Director works in close partnership with the Technology Program Director and cross-functional internal teams.
SCOPE & ACCOUNTABILITY
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned retailer and brand accounts.
- Drive top-line revenue growth through proactive account management and identification of growth opportunities.
- Ensure successful execution of technology programs from initiation through completion.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain deep knowledge of client needs, retail environments, and evolving technology landscapes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with key accounts based on an established cadence and act as an extension of the client team.
- Lead the planning and execution of technology programs from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with clients' cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to communicate project requirements, scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform program direction and strategy adjustments.
- Manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout all project phases.
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, fostering collaboration and addressing concerns promptly.
- Travel as required for client meetings, workshops, trade shows, and other work-related functions.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Success in this role will be measured against metrics including but not limited to:
- Revenue growth within assigned accounts year-over-year.

- On-time and on-budget delivery of technology programs.
- Number and value of growth opportunities identified and closed.
- Quality and timeliness of stakeholder communication and reporting.
- Effective risk identification and mitigation throughout program lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years working with USA big-box retailers and brands.
- 5+ years of experience working with technology-based solutions for retail, including fixtures, displays, interactives, and other digital solutions.
- 5+ years of experience working with manufacturers' processes: design, engineering, production, quality control, logistics, installation, and support.
- Deep understanding of how retailers operate and how to position Outform as a value-add partner to grow the account.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale technology projects with strong project management methodology knowledge.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in retail and a keen understanding of the evolving digital landscape.
- Experience working with China-based engineering and production teams.
- Experience with electronics; ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience creating diagrams and visual aids to communicate system functionality to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Retail industry experience required.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, internal company meetings, and other work-related functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Working conditions are in a normal office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and stand, using hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lenses. Requires long periods of time working at a computer and includes phone work. Travel is required and is an essential function of this position.
