About the Team
Technology Risk & Controls Lifecycle (TR&C) is a business enabler and industry leader, helping Mastercard proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks. We empower the organization to demonstrate strong risk management practices to regulators, auditors, and customers. TR&C drives key risk management activities and provides governance and frameworks to frontline programs, ensuring a secure and resilient technology control environment-led by a multidisciplinary team of top technology and risk professionals.
The Risk Assessments and Control Testing Center of Excellence (COE) is one of the core functions within TR&CL, driving critical risk management efforts. The Risk Assessment team conducts assessments across Mastercard's Products and Infrastructure, proactively identifying risks and supporting regulatory obligations across global markets. The Control Testing team evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of technology and information security controls to ensure alignment with Mastercard's standards and risk mitigation goals.
As a Launcher, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including engineering, product, and business operations-to build a strong foundation in technology risk management. You'll gain hands-on experience in assessing technology risks and controls across Mastercard's Product and Infrastructure, which not only drives operational excellence but also strengthens Mastercard's resilience, regulatory posture, and customer trust.
Launch Program
The Launch program is a development program that is supplemental to the role and is designed to help you transition from being a student to being a Mastercard employee. In this program, you will participate in:
- Four-day orientation focused on getting to know Mastercard, building your skills, and be a force for good (Mastercard's culture)
- Professional skills workshops
- Launch Innovation Week
- Social impact - pro bono team challenge
- Global Volunteer Challenge
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree graduating between Winter 2025 - Spring 2026.
- Hands-on experience with risk management and control, preferrable in a previous internship but open to class projects
- Experience working with a variety of technologies
- Strong problem solver
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to tackle complex problems
Salary: $91,000
