As a Claims Associate on the Unemployment Operations team, you'll play a key role in supporting our customers by resolving inquiries and submitting accurate, timely information to state agencies.

Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
  • Manage and process Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims with a focus on accurate data gathering, timely submission, client communication, and thorough case building.
  • Process wage and benefit audits, as well as other time-sensitive requests from state unemployment agencies.
  • Work through and submit required documentation via state portals, ensuring all responses meet compliance and deadline requirements.
  • Support customers by assisting with escalations, especially when they receive notices from state agencies, and providing clear, empathetic guidance.
  • Collect and prepare sensitive customer and employer data to be shared securely with state agencies via email and/or fax
  • Resolve inquiries and issues generated by our Customer Success team and internal ticketing system.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements across the unemployment operations workflow.
  • Assist senior team members in building out internal resources such as help articles, training materials, and best practice documentation.
  • Audit, verify, and protest erroneous unemployment benefit charge statements to reduce client liability and protect their accounts.

Qualifications
  • Experience in an unemployment claims, operations, or customer service related field preferred.
  • Experience with utilizing multiple systems and software programs.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $28.85 to $31.74 per hour.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
