Role Overview:
Citadel Securities is a leading Market Maker. The ability to seamlessly blend fundamental and quantitative analysis has been one of the drivers of our success. Fundamental research analysts work closely with the trading team, using superior processes, data and intuition to forecast the first, second and third moment of a security's price distribution around thematic and idiosyncratic events. Fundamental research analysts refine forecasts into actionable trade ideas.
As an intern, you'll get to challenge the impossible in markets through an 11-week program that will allow you to collaborate and connect with senior team members. In addition, you'll get the opportunity to network and socialize with peers throughout the internship.
Your Objectives:
  • Develop in-depth fundamental knowledge of a sector or industry, as well as broad base knowledge of financial markets
  • Identify pricing inefficiencies and collaborate with traders to monetize predictions
  • Identify new sources of data and transform unstructured data sets into signals
  • Own the information space you work within (i.e., large-cap tech) by monitoring trends in the marketplaces

Your Skills & Talents:
  • A strong interest in financial markets and a desire to learn about the fundamentals that drive them
  • Ability to think about the world systematically and quantitatively, as well as the ability to deal with uncertainty in a logical and consistent approach
  • Intermediate experience with programming, especially Python, preferred, but not required

Opportunities available in New York.
In addition to weekly pay, interns may be eligible for a highly competitive sign-on bonus, housing stipend or covered living accommodations, company-sponsored travel, and a variety of on-site benefits, including access to on-site fitness and wellness amenities, catered meals, and social and networking events.
In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $3,800 to $4,300 per week.
