With more than US $230 billion in current assets under management, and a world-class investment team, AustralianSuper has the appetite and capability to directly invest in large-scale opportunities.

Our New York office is made up of more than 75 colleagues and is expected to grow significantly over the next few years, so when you join, you become a key part of building our culture.

Your new role

Due to our significant growth, we are expanding our investment capabilities in New York, focusing on Infrastructure, Property, Private Debt and Private Equity. The Fund has over 350 in-house investment professionals with expertise across all asset classes (almost 60% of the portfolio is internally managed) with a growing global footprint.

The Manager - Transaction Enablement Manager, will be part of the team responsible for managing transactions within the Private Credit portfolio. The role will report within Investment Services. Private Credit is a growing strategy within the Fixed Income, Currency and Credit (“FICC”) vertical and currently includes real asset direct lending across infrastructure and real estate as well as corporate middle market lending via a manager.

The main purpose of this role is to support the Private Credit team and the wider Investment Department in managing the execution of direct credit investments in line with the Fund’s governance requirements for direct investing (the “Direct Transaction Standard”) and the execution of manager-led strategies in line with the Fund due diligence process.

This role also involves:

  • the management of transactions being led by Private Credit’s New York and London teams to ensure global consistency and integration with broader Investments and Fund programs and frameworks;

  • the collation, analysis and reporting of transaction pipeline activity, transaction costs and budgeting and external reporting requirements;

  • supporting the continued development of the New York based Private Credit transaction enablement and management capability; and

This role will work closely alongside the Private Credit asset class and monitoring teams. There is also extensive interaction with the other private market investment teams and other stakeholders throughout the Fund, such as ESG, Tax, Legal, Finance, Operational Due Diligence and Private Markets Operations teams.

This role requires knowledge of and familiarity with large scale unlisted transactions.

This is a newly created position, that is based on-site at 1251 Avenues of the Americas, with a hybrid work schedule; and will report to the Head of Investment Services, who is also based in New York.
