About the team 

The Treasury and Portfolio Management team is primarily responsible for the management and oversight of Paxos’ corporate and customer assets. Our team resides within the broader finance organization at Paxos and directly interacts with cross-function teams in product, operations, legal, compliance, risk and growth to enable product growth and optimize the corporate balance sheet. We work closely with our prudential regulators globally to ensure compliance with their respective stablecoin issuance framework. Our team sits squarely at the center of the most critical and exciting initiatives at Paxos.

About the role

As a Treasurer at Paxos, you will design and implement treasury policies, manage banking and financial partner relationships, and oversee treasury controls. You will be responsible for optimizing our capital structure, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and safeguarding corporate and customer funds. The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical finance professional with deep treasury expertise, experience in the digital asset ecosystem, and the ability to lead complex financial initiatives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

What you’ll do 

• Liquidity and Cash Management: Oversee daily cash operations, including cash flow optimization, liquidity forecasting, and payment processing, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Investment Management: Develop and implement investment strategies for both fiat and digital assets, aligning with the company's risk tolerance and investment guidelines.
• Risk Management: Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including those associated with digital assets and market volatility.
• Banking and Financial Relationships: Manage relationships with banks, payment service providers, and cryptocurrency exchanges to support both fiat and crypto treasury operations.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all treasury activities comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. Prepare and present regular reports on cash positions, liquidity forecasts, and investment performance to senior management.

About you 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in treasury management, with a significant portion in the fintech or digital assets industry.
• Proven expertise in liquidity management, investment strategies, and risk management, particularly concerning digital assets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
