About Opendoor
At Opendoor our mission is to tilt the world in favor of homeowners and those who aim to become one. Homeownership matters. It's how people build wealth, stability, and community. It's how families put down roots, how neighborhoods strengthen, how the future gets built. We're building the modern system of homeownership giving people the freedom to buy and sell on their own terms. We’ve built an end-to-end online experience that has already helped thousands of people and we’re just getting started.
About the role
Every home Opendoor buys starts with money moving. Our Treasury team makes sure it moves correctly, on time, and to the right place, across multiple banking partners. When you're buying and selling homes at this volume, cash management stops being routine and becomes a real operational discipline.
We're looking for a Treasury Analyst to own the day-to-day cash position, keep our bank accounts and portal access in good order, support wire and transfer activity, and help build the reporting the broader finance organization relies on.
This role is built for someone early in their finance career who wants to go deep. Prior treasury experience is not a requirement. You do need sharp attention to detail, comfort working inside the controls of a public company, and real curiosity about doing things better than they were done last quarter. A lot of our current process still lives in spreadsheets, and we'd like your help changing that. You'll learn directly from a small, senior team, and there's genuine room to grow into the capital markets and lending facility side of the business if that interests you.
What you'll do
- Monitor daily cash balances and maintain our cash position across all bank accounts and banking partners
- Prepare regular treasury reports for the broader finance organization
- Support automation initiatives for Treasury systems, including bank APIs and AI-assisted workflows
- Build and maintain Treasury analytics and dashboards, identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes
- Write and run SQL queries against Snowflake to pull and reconcile cash, wire, and bank account data
- Prepare daily and weekly cash forecast updates
- Manage user permissions within banking systems, including issuing and modifying access
- Enter and approve wires as needed for operations
- Provide backup for intercompany/book transfers
- Monitor and uphold financial policies and procedures in accordance with SOX
- Perform other duties as required to support the Treasury and Capital Markets teams
What you'll need
- Experience in finance, accounting, banking, treasury, or capital markets roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and the judgment to know when something looks off
- Comfort operating in a controlled environment where process exists for a reason, especially when the dollar amounts are large
- Strong written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders and external banking partners
- The ability to juggle several systems and deadlines without dropping anything, and to work independently
- Genuine curiosity about automation and process improvement, and an interest in using modern AI tools to cut manual work
- A desire to build real treasury expertise on the job
Bonus points
- Prior treasury or cash management experience
- Experience with bank portals at major financial institutions
- Experience in a SOX-compliant or public company environment
- Familiarity with SQL, Snowflake, or BI and reporting tools
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to automate reporting or build workflows
- Interest in debt facilities, securitizations, or capital markets operations
Location
This role is based in one of our offices, in-person four days per week. We're looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about an in-office culture; people who want to build alongside their teammates, not from a distance.
