Summary

The TSS - Agency Relations team plays a vital role in fostering positive and productive relationships with various payroll tax agencies, focusing on collaborating with these agencies to ensure that OSV adheres to all regulations and requirements regarding payroll taxes in an outsourced setting. The Agency Relations Team is essential to the success of our overall payroll tax outsourcing operations and is committed to achieving excellent results together.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with influencers and decision-makers in tax agency sectors.
  • Serve as a dedicated OSV liaison and advocate, communicating effectively with agencies during calls, managing escalations regarding judgments and penalties, and facilitating negotiations.
  • Tasked with ensuring that OSV adheres to regulatory agency standards, thereby aligning our tax compliance processes with their requirements for optimal service.
  • Support in managing compliance changes by fostering collaboration on approaches, detailing systemic adjustments, and ensuring thorough verification and acceptance of these modifications.
  • Collects the necessary documentation to clearly identify current issues. Collaborating with agencies and internal teams will help us find timely and reasonable solutions, minimizing potential impacts on our customers and reducing financial repercussions for OSV and our clientele.
  • Possess an advanced understanding of OSV's system,processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with agency standards.

Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirement

Required

High School diploma

Preferred

  • 5+ years of related experience in tax, finance, or audit, preferably in an outsourced payroll or agency environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to federal, state, and local income tax and unemployment tax
  • Associate's Degree
