Role Overview
As a Mid-Level UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with the product, technology and editorial teams to design user-centered interfaces that enhance the way our audience interacts with our content. You’ll contribute to both the visual design and the overall user experience, creating intuitive designs that reflect our brand and are optimized for engagement and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work alongside product managers, developers, and content creators to design, test, and iterate on new features and user interfaces.
- Design user-friendly interfaces: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for web and mobile applications that ensure an intuitive user experience.
- Conduct user research: Gather insights through analytics, user research and testing to inform design decisions and improve user satisfaction.
- Iterate on designs: Based on feedback and performance metrics, refine and optimize the user interface for better usability and performance.
- Ensure consistency: Maintain brand consistency across all design elements, ensuring alignment with the company’s visual identity and tone.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest UI/UX design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our digital platforms remain cutting-edge.
- Contribute to design systems: Help maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring scalability and cohesion across platforms.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in the media, high-volume B2C or entertainment/content industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in user-centered design, with examples of wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
- Solid understanding of user experience principles, responsive design, and mobile-first design strategies.
- Experience conducting user research and testing to validate design decisions.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript (a plus, but not required).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- A passion for creating engaging, functional, and visually appealing digital experiences.
Total Compensation Range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 base salary
