Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Credit, Fixed Income & Macro, Convertible & Volatility Arbitrage, Event-Driven, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets, and Quantitative Strategies.


Role Summary:  

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Associate to join a Utilities/Power Equity Long/Short team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in an equity research or banking focused on investing in Utilities/Power public equities, with a strong academic background and a proven track record of excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on Utilities/Power companies.

- Develop and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses.

- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector.

- Support portfolio manager in portfolio construction and risk management.

- Participate in meetings with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts.

- Continuously update and improve investment theses based on new information and market developments.


Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of relevant experience, focused on Utilities/Power.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial statements, modeling, and valuation techniques.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- High level of intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

Salary Range
$150,000$150,000 USD
