As a US Expansion Planning Engineer, you will be a key contact in preparing for production in a new high volume memory manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho, calculating and presenting capital impacts of processes that will be introduced at the site to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes
- Complete financial analyses before new capital equipment is purchased, including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose
- Handle site tool utilization and capacity planning models to optimize the site's deployed capital
- Design, track, and communicate capital change proposals to manufacturing senior leaders through reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) and formal presentation
- Optimize capacity of equipment base and lead site- and tool-level optimization studies for efficiency improvement
- Build and implement tools to audit manufacturing capital efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities
- Lead and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in manufacturing
- Apply new (e.g. Python, SQL, R) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years experience in semiconductor capacity planning, including 2 years of experience crafting and developing web-based reporting metrics and influencing data driven insights with Python, SQL and Tableau
- Semiconductor experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a business-related or quantitative field
- Experience turning sophisticated and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment
- Proven ability to successfully analyze and interpret data, drawing conclusions, recommending actions, and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
- Experience working in teams, establishing and maintaining multi-functional and working relationships
