Salesforce is reimagining the future of work, and we're seeking a visionary leader to transform our talent development ecosystem. We are seeking a transformational VP of Agentic Talent/Capability Development to lead the enterprise-wide development of "agentic manager" and executive capabilities. This leader will architect and execute a comprehensive strategy for AI fluency at enterprise scale and capability development from recruiting to retention, delivering personalized learning experiences in the flow of work to drive measurable business impact through AI coaching and Human+AI collaboration.

This role represents a pioneering opportunity to define how enterprises develop human capabilities in the AI era. The successful candidate will build the foundation for agentic management, scale AI fluency across the organization, and create personalized development experiences that drive both individual growth and business results. You'll be at the forefront of the Intelligence Age transformation, shaping how 75,000+ employees develop the capabilities needed to thrive alongside AI.

Key Responsibilities:

Agentic Leadership Development

  • Agentic Manager Excellence: Design and implement enterprise-wide programs to develop 10,000+ managers into agentic leaders capable of orchestrating Human+AI teams and leveraging ambient agents for business outcomes

  • Executive AI Fluency: Create executive development experiences that build AI fluency, strategic AI thinking, and capability to lead agentic enterprises using the 4Rs framework 

  • Leadership Transformation: Partner with leadership teams to embed AI coaching capabilities and agentic management practices to drive retention and succession planning across all critical roles, levels, functions. 

  • Manager Agent Enhancement: Collaborate with technology teams to embed AI coaching capabilities into manager workflows, providing real-time guidance on team development, retention risk factors and performance conversations

  • Outcome-Driven Metrics: Establish and track business impact measures including productivity gains, innovation metrics, and revenue growth in AI-fluent teams

Enterprise AI Fluency & Capability Building

  • AI Fluency at Scale: Establish and implement AI fluency standards, metrics, operational rigor, ensuring 75,000+ employees develop appropriate AI capabilities

  • Capability Architecture: Build dynamic skilling frameworks that evolve with AI advancement, focusing on problem framing, orchestration, adaptability and Human+AI collaboration skills

  • Skills Transformation: Lead the shift from traditional skill development to agentic capabilities including AI tool mastery, prompt engineering, and intelligent automation

  • Retention Through Growth: Design capability development programs that drive retention by providing continuous, personalized growth opportunities aligned with career aspirations

Personalized Learning at Scale

  • Hyper-Personalization Engine: Leverage AI to create individualized learning journeys that adapt in real-time based on learning patterns, performance data, and business context

  • Intelligent Content Curation: Build systems that dynamically surface relevant learning content, mentorship opportunities, and career movements based on individual capability gaps and goals

  • Adaptive Learning Pathways: Create learning experiences that automatically adjust difficulty, content type, and pacing based on learner progress and business priorities

  • Innovate & Iterate: Partner with ES Product, DET, AI Council, etc to build or buy the best in class solutions/offerings to enhance our portfolio and continue to be leaders in the industry. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years in talent development, L&D, or organizational development with 8+ years in senior leadership roles

  • Proven track record transforming talent in global enterprise organizations with measurable business impact

  • Deep understanding of Human+AI collaboration and AI/ML applications in talent development

  • Expertise in personalized learning systems, AI-powered platforms, learning analytics, and predictive modelling

  • Strong executive presence with ability to influence C-suite and drive cultural change in fast-paced environments

  • Experience with AI coaching tools, performance support systems, and technology integrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MA in Organizational Development, Learning Sciences, or related field)

  • AI/ML certification or formal training in artificial intelligence applications

  • Experience in technology, SaaS, or AI-driven industries

  • Salesforce ecosystem experience (Slack, Salesforce platform, AI tools)

  • Global experience managing development across regions and countries

  • Background in change management, organizational design, M&A integration

  • Management consulting experience in organizational transformation

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $212,700 - $374,400 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $255,300 - $408,500 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
