Job Summary:
Cohen and Steers is currently seeking a highly motivated, CRM developer to join our Information Technology department leading the technologies surrounding Salesforce CRM. The individual will be part of the development team that works primarily with the CRM datasets, workflows, and applications both on-premise and in the cloud. Strong communication skills will be required as the individual will collaborate with Sales Enablement, Finance, Relationship Management, Marketing and Sales to design and build enhancements for our strategic CRM platform. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Responsible for developing integration solutions for our CRM ecosystem
- Development of service-based solutions to integrate between different platforms, including services hosted in Azure and Microsoft Fabric
- Development of applications utilizing Azure App Services (PaaS), Azure SQL Database, and Microsoft Fabric
- Working with developers and other IT members in identifying and proposing application system changes, enhancements, or troubleshooting issues
- Responsible for supporting business users, investigating, and resolving application errors, data discrepancies and queries
- Responsible for clearly articulating technical concepts to lead business stakeholders
- Working with departments to shape our strategic vision around CRM and related marketing materials
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the Information Technology field is required
- 10+ years’ experience with C#/Python, .NET Core, and SQL Server in a similar financial services environment
- Substantial experience in developing application solutions through all phases of the application lifecycle from initial requirements gathering to ongoing enhancements
- Strong knowledge of SQL for advanced querying, window functions, CTEs, pivoting, and handling slowly changing dimensions
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools and patterns
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo and their relevant APIs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills, with excellent written and verbal communication, in order to communicate with all levels of end users and help develop sustainable business solutions that address user requirements
- Ability to work with users and managers to prioritize between tasks
- Proven vendor management skills
- Understanding of the standard CRM object model (Account, Contact, Firms, Opportunity, Lead, Campaign)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce SOQL, Bulk API, and REST API
- Reasonable financial product knowledge and knowledge of the portfolio management process (Positions, weights, benchmarks, etc.)
- Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives
- Is able to abide by the firm’s hybrid work arrangement policy in New York City office (4 days in-office/1 day remote)
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience with Microservices
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure DataBricks, or Snowflake
- Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
- Experience with Salesforce administration
- Recent experience in an Asset Management Firm or Hedge Fund
- Reasonable knowledge of master data management concepts
- Experience with Python and various data manipulation libraries
- Experience of using job scheduling software (JAMS, ActiveBatch, AutoSys or equivalent)
- Technical writing and documentation proficiency
