Role Overview

The VP of Engineering – Cyber Resilience will lead the strategic engineering vision for Kaseya’s cyber resilience portfolio, including backup, disaster recovery, immutable storage, and ransomware recovery solutions. This executive will drive innovation, scale engineering operations, and deliver customer-centric solutions that directly impact ARR growth, customer retention, and technical differentiation in the market.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise in storage and cybersecurity, a passion for customer success, and a proven ability to lead high-performing global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the engineering strategy for Kaseya’s cyber resilience products, aligning with company growth targets and ARR objectives.
  • Own the roadmap delivery for backup, DR, and storage solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate customer needs into technical solutions that drive adoption and retention.

Customer Impact & ARR Focus

  • Build engineering capabilities that deliver measurable customer outcomes—reduced downtime, faster recovery, and enhanced data protection.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Support to ensure engineering priorities align with revenue goals and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Drive innovation in storage architecture, ransomware recovery, and immutable backup technologies to differentiate Kaseya in the market.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and track KPIs for engineering velocity, quality, and customer impact.
  • Implement best-in-class SDLC practices, DevOps automation, and secure coding standards.
  • Lead incident response and escalation processes for critical customer-impacting issues.

Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering team across multiple geographies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and career development within the engineering organization.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of engineering leadership experience in cybersecurity, storage, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-scale, customer-facing products that drive ARR.
  • Deep expertise in backup, disaster recovery, storage systems, and ransomware mitigation.
  • Experience leading distributed engineering teams in a high-growth, matrixed environment.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
