Background and Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Vice President of External Communications to join our award-winning Corporate Marketing team at one of the world’s fastest-growing data, analytics, and AI companies. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that will shape how the world sees and hears from Quantexa—across earned and social media, executive communications, thought leadership, and issues management.

As the global leader for external communications, you’ll be responsible for elevating Quantexa’s profile with key stakeholders including media, influencers, partners, and the broader market. You will lead our PR agency ecosystem and program expansion, drive major product launch and campaign moments, steward executive visibility, and ensure consistency in our public narrative.

This is a unique opportunity to architect a global communications function during a critical scale-up period following Quantexa’s $175 million Series F round and $2.6 billion valuation. You’ll work closely with the SVP of Corporate Marketing, C-Suite, and cross-functional marketing and product leaders to tell the Quantexa story on the global stage and support our expansion across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead Global External Communications Strategy: Define and drive a cohesive communications strategy that supports Quantexa’s brand, category leadership, reputation, and market presence.
  • Executive Visibility: Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and amplify thought leadership across key themes including data readiness, AI, Decision Intelligence driven transformation, and industry stories.
  • Media Relations: Build and nurture strong relationships with top-tier global and industry media, influencers, enthusiasts, and subject matter experts who are the voices shaping today’s information landscape. Secure high-impact coverage that supports our growth, credibility, and customer storytelling, while also building new programs and playbooks that go beyond traditional media coverage.
  • PR Agency Management: Lead global PR agency partners to ensure delivery against KPIs and campaign objectives across regions. Manage budgets, performance reviews, and regional alignment.
  • Crisis & Issues Management: Own the company’s approach to media response, reputation protection, and comms preparedness. Ensure the company has the right policies and procedures in place and the employee community is made aware of them by partnering with internal communications.
  • Integrated Campaign Support: Collaborate with brand, partner, content, and product marketing teams to integrate earned media strategies into broader campaigns and product launch processes.
  • Analyst and Influencer Engagement: Work closely with the AR team to coordinate messaging consistency across analyst and media audiences, particularly in support of MQs, Waves, and strategic events.
  • Content Creation: Your team will own the development of strategic narratives, messaging frameworks, Q&As, executive speeches, bylines, and reactive press statements.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks for all external communications efforts. Deliver regular reports to senior leadership and functional partners.

This role can have a base office of New York or Boston. We are also open to candidates looking for a remote based contract and who are based in or are willing to relocate to the following states: New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania,  Virginia, North Carolina, District of Columbia, New Hampshire, and Florida

Requirements

What you'll bring

·        Extensive experience of progressive experience in B2B communications, preferably in high-growth technology companies.

·        Extensive experience of managing communications professionals (teams)

·        Deep experience managing external communications at a global level, including executive comms, media relations, and reputation management.

·        Proven success working directly with C-suite executives and delivering strategic communications counsel.

·        Ability to distill complex technical topics (AI, data, analytics) into clear, compelling stories for multiple audiences.

·        Experience leading and scaling global PR agency relationships and managing six-figure budgets.

·        Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, along with interest in putting AI to work in internal processes.

·        Sound judgment, a bias for action, and a calm, confident presence under pressure.
