The Vice President of Finance is a critical hire for Citcon. As a key member of the leadership team, this executive will partner effectively with the CEO, the Board, and the rest of the executive team to plan, forecast, manage and report on the company’s growth and operations.
The VP of Finance will lead and manage all core areas of finance (strategic financial planning, accounting, tax, audit, purchasing) as well as determine our investment strategy in partners, vendors, and outsourcing resources, manage our cash flow and capital expenditures, navigate the challenges of managing international subsidiaries and operations and identify alternative distribution cost channels, develop reporting and our financial business systems, and pursue fundraising and financial relationships. Due to the multifaceted nature of Citcon’s business model, the VP of Finance will need to be prepared to tackle diverse challenges.
As the first hire in finance, this position will have a profound impact on the future of Citcon at a defining moment in the evolution of the company. The VP of Finance will be a strategic contributor to company direction and growth. S/he will need to have demonstrated success thinking strategically about building a financial plan from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Provide a strong point of view as a key member of the senior executive team. Provide strategic vision and tactical execution to enhance revenue growth.
- Evaluate finance talent and build a world-class finance team at all levels and develop staffing plans to support the business demands. Serve as a coach and mentor to high potential employees, giving them career-broadening opportunities.
- Develop financial strategies, budgeting processes, and forecasts to support current and future revenue models, with a particular eye toward improving the financial results
- Create rigorous financial models and execute sound financial analysis. Improve the budgeting and planning process and identify opportunities and risks.
- Develop good financial systems infrastructure to drive efficiency and accuracy of all financial planning and reporting processes.
- Enhance current management reporting with more analytics and metrics to track business performance. Work with business leaders to ensure these reports are aiding them in managing their areas of responsibility.
- Create a performance-driven culture within the finance organization
- Ensure that all regulatory reporting requirements are met; provide adequate structure and discipline around internal controls and the closing process.
- Shows the ability to continue to grow and adapt as the business changes and demands new thinking and levels of performance.
- Exhibit experience identifying business opportunities and developing financial models that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
- Convey and champion an understanding of best practices around structuring a finance organization and experience with implementing those practices.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in leading finance organizations in early/growth stage startup environments. Emphasis on FP&A, strategy and fund raising.
- Located in the Continental USDemonstrates unquestioned personal and professional integrity and is able to gain the trust and respect of a high-powered organization.
- Shows the ability to continue to grow and adapt as the business changes and demands new thinking and levels of performance.
- Exhibits experience identifying business opportunities and developing financial models that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
