Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This position will be an integral contributor to the Focus FP&A and data analytics
efforts and reports to the Head of Corporate FP&A
This role is based in New York, NY or New Hyde Park, NY.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee partner firms to prepare profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, budgeting and forecasting
- Business partner with internal team individuals (managing directors, partnership team, and M&A team)
- Business partner with external team individuals (auditors, valuation and private equity)
- Work as initial / primary contact with subsidiary’s accounting/finance teams for monthly financial reporting package submission
- Perform monthly analytics to understand fluctuations between current and prior periods and fluctuations between actual and budget/forecast
- Complete various ad hoc projects and financial analysis
- Prepare quarterly and monthly statical updates FP&A reports
- Assist with due diligence regarding potential mergers/acquisitions
- Manage finance integrations for mergers/acquisitions (including transition to corporate systems and procedures)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 10+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience
- Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, working knowledge of VBA, macros and business intelligence (BI) tools a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills
- Accounting experience with GAAP is a plus
- Ability to work independently, as a team member and business partner; ability to set priorities and respond to changing demands from multiple sources
- Familiarity with the financial services industry

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $180,000 and $220,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
