About the position:

This is a junior lending professional role within the front office. You will carry primary responsibility for some of the key processes related to lending transactions, along with guiding junior bankers that execute new transactions and work closely with the client relationship managers - Directors and Managing Directors - and sector experts to originate new lending transactions. You will work most closely with the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (“TMT”) team, which is part of ING Global Sector Coverage. The TMT team at ING specializes in providing lending solutions and cross-selling ING's products to support private equity, infrastructure investors, and multinational corporates in the Americas, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure (e.g., data centers, fiber, towers) within the broader technology, media, and telecommunications sector.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support origination, structuring and execution of new financing solutions, with an emphasis on the North American digital infrastructure and healthcare space
  • Participate in initial deal screening/selection and industry, market and risk analysis, sector supply and demand research and statistics to support credit decisions as well as assessment of impacts of policy and regulation (such as tariffs) in defining projects profitability
  • Support deal teams through the loan pitching, underwriting, credit approval and closing process
  • Perform due diligence and review and/or negotiate financing documents associated with new TMT transactions
  • Build and/ or adapt existing transaction models and internal risk rating and return models for scenario analysis
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to build their technical skills and market knowledge

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 4+ years of relevant finance experience in the TMT industries  
  • Strong financial and credit analysis capabilities with ability to independently work on transactions
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including building financial projections and debt-sizing frameworks, as well as adapting existing models for scenario analysis
  • Excellent presentation and written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented and accurate
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities, that involve managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
  • Committed and dedicated team player, self-motivated high quality/high quantity producer
  • Ability to manage, motivate and mentor junior staff members
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Salary Range: $130,000-$175,000

The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
