What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York to develop software systems to further automate the compression process to speed up compression submission and reporting. Migrate trend features to next generation software development Frameworks. Work on future potential projects to develop software systems to increase the efficiency of U.S. operations and desks. Identify and fix issues in existing software systems reported by U.S. operations or traders. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Java/Scala Developer, Associate, Analyst, or a related role in the technology field.

-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:

  • Java;
  • SQL;
  • JSON;
  • Data Structure;
  • Algorithm;
  • Agile;
  • Sybase;
  • Treadmill;
  • Rate derivatives;
  • Spring;
  • Scala;
  • Functional Programming;
  • Python; and
  • C#.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $208,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
