Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Vice President of North America Sales to lead the company's commercial sales strategy across North America. Reporting directly to the President of Global Sales, this executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth through ownership of sell-in, sell-through, sales forecasting, and strategic retail partnerships. This individual will lead the North American sales organization, develop and execute commercial strategies, and partner cross-functionally to deliver sustainable growth across Sephora, Ulta, and other key retail channels. The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the North American commercial sales strategy to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability objectives.
  • Own the North American sales business across sell-in, sell-through, inventory management, forecasting, and account performance.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales organization, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven culture.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key retail partners, including Sephora and Ulta, identifying opportunities to accelerate growth and strengthen strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with retailer merchandising and planning teams to optimize assortments, promotional calendars, inventory levels, and new product launches.
  • Lead the sales forecasting and demand planning process, ensuring accurate projections and close alignment with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.
  • Analyze sales trends, retailer performance, inventory health, and market dynamics to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Brand, Education, Finance, and Operations to develop integrated commercial strategies that drive both sell-in and consumer sell-through.
  • Develop annual business plans, sales targets, retailer growth strategies, and performance metrics across all channels.
  • Drive commercial excellence by implementing scalable sales processes, reporting, forecasting tools, and operating rhythms.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop top sales talent while building a high-performing organization capable of supporting continued business growth.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy and long-term organizational growth.
  • Travel regularly to retailer headquarters, key markets, industry events, and corporate meetings as business needs require.

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within the prestige beauty industry.
  • Proven success leading North American sales organizations in a high-growth beauty or consumer brand.
  • Deep experience managing strategic retail partnerships with Sephora and Ulta, including joint business planning and retailer negotiations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sell-in strategy, sell-through performance, sales forecasting, inventory management, and demand planning.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with experience developing sales forecasts, annual operating plans, and revenue projections.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable commercial strategies that drive profitable growth.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Brand, and Operations teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be based in the New York City area or open to relocating to NYC.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $250,000 + 30% bonus annually based on experience.
