Position: Vice President of Operations

Location: Must be located in MA, NY, NJ, or Philadelphia Markets

Hours: Full Time

Salary Rate: $155,000-$170,000/yr

Pay Frequency: Weekly – Direct Deposit

Summary
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the overall operations of the organization and is accountable for leading improvements in operational efficiency, revenue, margin, client retention and leading the operations team.

Essential Functions

  • Develop short- and long-term operational strategies in partnership with the executive team.

  • Manage all facets of the operational activity of the organization with full P&L accountability.

  • Lead and manage a highly productive, motivated and driven team through strong communication, empowerment, reward and coaching techniques.

  • Ensure the organization is delivering operational excellence. Identify innovative and creative services and solutions to expand on client's requirements, working closely with internal and external partners.

  • Manage client relationships to maintain client satisfaction and account retention.

  • Partner with the business leaders to drive change and implement new business processes.

  • Direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control operations program.

  • Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with clients, federal or state agencies, or other organizational entities.

  • Confer with leadership team and/or staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.

  • May implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems.

  • Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions among departments and sites.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibility
This position serves as a member in the leadership team and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the operations department.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, televisions, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires auditory & visual skills and the ability to follow written & oral instructions and procedures.

Travel
This position requires up to 50% travel. Out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 7 - 10 years of operational multi-unit experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management; leading a team
