We’re seeking a Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to collaborate with our investment, research, commercialization, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional experience to our corporate partners. The VP will own key relationships with a wide range of Fortune 500 companies, including leading global utilities, energy suppliers, and large consumers – with the goal of driving excellent satisfaction scores and high rates of customer retention.
Applicants should have a keen interest in energy, sustainability, and innovation and can expect to get exposure to cutting-edge technology, early-stage innovation, and board-level corporate strategy.
You will report to the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Impact and will collaborate closely with EIP’s global Investment and Strategic Partnerships teams. The position is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid culture.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Serve as relationship manager to a majority of EIP’s strategic limited partners, providing feedback to internal teams while building and nurturing trusted, long-lasting relationships with partners
- In collaboration with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Impact, develop strategies to provide exceptional support to limited partners and ensure satisfaction across all touchpoints
- Create enabling infrastructure that empowers other relationship managers at EIP to operate efficiently and delight their customers
- Manage and support new partners and ambassadors through their onboarding process
- Plan, support, and conduct follow ups in conjunction with firm events for limited partners, both virtual and in person
- Act as project manager for quarterly and annual deliverables, including quarterly account planning and quarterly business reviews
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure LP feedback is integrated into new processes and manage ad-hoc requests, as needed
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience managing high-touch client relationships
- Credibility as a trusted internal advisor on key trends and markets
- Prior experience in energy or demonstrable ability to learn a complex industry quickly
- High EQ and exceptional tact
- Strong analytical skills and capability to assess complex business cases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An independent mindset and intellectual curiosity
- A proven track record of working effectively on a team and being a good teammate
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6-8 years of experience in energy market analysis; management consulting; corporate strategy; or other relevant fields
Benefits
The base compensation for this role is $160,000-185,000 with discretionary bonus available.
