We are looking for an experienced Video & Social Strategy leader to join our Tech/Gaming teams. You will run editorial video units and collaborate with our Commercial teams to create meaningful revenue growth.

You will develop large, engaged audiences across video & social platforms through creative development, strategic programming, and rigorous performance data assessment. You will work with our Commercial teams to monetize these audiences. This will be through a combination of Sponsorships, Branded Content and on platform Ads.

Our editorial teams have an unrivaled level of industry expertise in their respective fields. This, coupled with access to all the latest products, events, shows and news stories in their field, provides an enticing base on which to build creative, exciting and entertaining video and social content.

What You'll Do

You will report to our Managing Director, Technology and our SVP, Future Creative

  • Implement the video and social strategy to grow engaged video and social audiences.
  • Run video and social media teams for our Tech brands, balancing editorial and commercial demands.
  • Research and summarize the tech ecosystems by platform, forming working hypotheses into the way in which viewers are interested.
  • Creative development for new shows, formats and video franchises across initial idea creation to bring the strategy to life.
  • Work with the senior commercial team to develop a go-to-market strategy for video and social.
  • Help to set video performance Indicators based on platform ecosystem desired growth and audience segmentation.
  • Work towards commercial goals for Branded Content and be a partner, building monetizable content IP, increasing Branded content revenue from video / social year-over-year
  • Manage a growing video team of creatives and strategists, building a culture of collaboration, innovation, and creative ambition.
  • Attend commercial quarterlies / sales summits / other important tentpoles to ensure exposure to Commercial strategy, priorities, and ways of working.
  • Stay up to date with important industry trends, competitive insights and new social media, marketing, AI and e-commerce technologies.
Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve
  • Experience building and monetizing audiences across Video and Social platforms within the Tech space.
  • Passionate storyteller in the Technology category, with experience with the tech culture and trends within the space.
  • Experience achieving editorial and commercial goals related to video and social.
  • Understand how to create content across different social video platforms (YouTube, IG, FB, and TikTok).
  • Experience developing new show formats for a digital audience including format setting and casting.
  • Experience developing visual identity for video franchises.
  • Experience using social analytics to understand content performance and understanding how this can feed into ongoing creative development.
  • Experience managing video and social teams across creative development, pilot testing, execution and optimization processes.
  • Experience working with multiple team members, both from video and non-video backgrounds.

This is a Hybrid role from our New York office, working three days from the office and two from home.
