About CoinPoker
Welcome to CoinPoker, the innovative crypto-poker platform where advanced blockchain technology meets the thrilling world of online poker. At CoinPoker, we are revolutionizing the poker experience by offering fast, secure, and transparent gameplay. With recent substantial investment, we are poised to take over the online crypto-poker space and are expanding our team to support our growth.
The Opportunity
The Video Editor is responsible for editing long-form video for CoinPoker's YouTube channel and for ambassador, partner, and collaboration content, cutting raw footage into structured, well-paced content that holds audience attention through to the end.
The role is focused on shaping poker footage into stories, working to briefs on structure and payoff, elevating them in the edit, and applying retention feedback so each video cuts better than the last, while adapting to the tone and audience of each channel it produces for.
The role requires real story instincts, including structure, pacing, tension, and the discipline to cut the parts that don't earn their place, along with a real understanding of poker as content and what makes people watch it, from the hands themselves to the players, stakes, and stories around them.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit long-form videos end to end for CoinPoker's YouTube channel and for ambassador, partner, and collaboration content, from ingesting and reviewing raw footage through structure, pacing, sound design, graphics, and colour to the final delivered cut.
Shape poker footage into stories that hold, working to briefs on structure and payoff, finding the narrative in a session and building the edit around the tension, and moments that make people keep watching.
Craft strong openings and maintain pace throughout, structuring each video to hold retention from the first seconds to the payoff and cutting anything that sags in between.
Adapt tone, pacing, and style to each channel, delivering CoinPoker-brand content and partner content that fits each ambassador's or partner's own voice and audience rather than a single signature look.
Handle the finishing craft to a high standard, including sound design, music, captions, motion graphics, and on-screen elements that support the story rather than decorate it.
Apply structural feedback and retention findings from the weekly review to each next cut, and flag what is and isn't working in the footage you're given.
Manage your own edit pipeline across multiple channels, delivering reliably against the content calendar and turnaround expectations for both owned and partner content.
Coordinate with the ambassador and partnerships teams on footage, briefs, and turnaround for partner and collaboration content.
Use AI and modern editing tools to move faster on the mechanical work so the craft gets the time.
Highly Desired Knowledge and Experience:
A portfolio of long-form edits that held audiences, whether for a channel, a brand, or your own work, and the ability to explain the structural decisions behind them.
A real understanding of poker as content and why people watch it, spanning not just the hands but the players, personalities, stakes, and stories that make poker compelling to an audience, with the instinct to build edits around all of it.
Real story instincts, including structure, pacing, tension, and the discipline to cut what doesn't earn its place.
Strong finishing craft across sound design, music, captions, motion graphics, and colour, at a standard fit for a channel building an audience.
Demonstrated ability to adapt style and tone across different channels or brands, rather than applying a single signature look to everything.
Demonstrated ability to manage a personal edit pipeline across multiple channels and deliver reliably against a content calendar.
Comfort taking structural feedback and retention findings and applying them to the edit.
Fluency with a professional editing stack, and with AI tooling where it genuinely helps.
