The company leverages a network of over 30,000 vetted, qualified vendors (Lessen Affiliates) serving clients with over 1 million properties and completing more than 3.5 million work orders annually across an expanding range of services. Lessen, LLC is a venture-backed, privately held company with offices in Scottsdale and Chicago.

Lessen is looking for a Video & Motion Designer to join our Brand team within Marketing.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can take a story from idea to finished piece—concepting, scripting, storyboarding, editing, animating, and delivering polished video content across a wide range of formats.

You’ll create everything from brand films and campaign creative to product demos, customer stories, social video, promotional content, commercials, event content, and product launches. Some projects will be heavily driven by motion graphics and kinetic typography. Others will combine product UI, live action, photography, stock footage, interviews, and AI-generated video.

Because Lessen is not just a property maintenance company, but also a technology company, a major part of the role will also be making software feel clear, compelling, and visually engaging. You should be comfortable working directly in Figma, extracting and adapting product assets, rebuilding screens when necessary, and turning static interfaces into polished motion and product storytelling.

This is not a role where you’ll simply receive a finished script and a folder of perfectly prepared assets. We’re looking for someone who is curious, resourceful, visually strong, and comfortable helping shape the story.

What You'll Do:

    • Concept, design, edit, and produce video content across the Lessen brand, including:

    • Brand and corporate storytelling

    • Integrated marketing campaigns

    • Product launches and promotional videos

    • Product demos and feature walkthroughs

    • Social and paid media content

    • Customer testimonials and case studies

    • Event and sales content

    • Commercial and digital advertising

    • Internal and executive communications

    • Create sophisticated motion graphics, kinetic typography, animated data visualizations, transitions, and branded visual systems that make complex ideas feel simple and engaging.

    • Turn product experiences into compelling video by working directly with Figma files and product UI, adapting screens and assets for storytelling rather than relying solely on screen recordings.

    • Animate product interfaces, workflows, dashboards, mobile experiences, and feature interactions in a way that feels polished, intentional, and easy to understand.

    • Partner with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Social, Product Design, and other teams to translate business goals into strong creative concepts.

    • Help develop scripts, storyboards, treatments, visual concepts, and narrative structures rather than operating solely as an execution resource.

    • Translate complex SaaS, AI, and property-operations concepts into concise, visually compelling stories for audiences who may not be deeply technical.

    • Use generative AI video tools as part of the production workflow, including creating and refining prompts, generating scenes and visual assets, iterating toward usable outputs, and combining AI-generated content with traditional editing and motion design.

    • Identify when AI-generated footage, stock footage, live action, product UI, animation, or a hybrid approach will produce the strongest result.

    • Edit interviews, customer stories, event footage, and other live-action content into polished narratives.

    • Create multiple cuts and adaptations of content for LinkedIn, paid social, websites, sales presentations, events, and other channels.

    • Source and work with music, stock footage, photography, voiceover, sound effects, and other production assets as needed.

    • Maintain strong visual and motion consistency with Lessen’s evolving brand system.

    • Develop reusable motion templates, animation systems, transitions, and production workflows that allow the marketing team to create video more efficiently and consistently.

    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate clearly about timelines, priorities, dependencies, and production needs.

    • Stay current on emerging video, motion, AI, design, and B2B technology trends and proactively bring new creative approaches to the team.

What You'll Need:

    • 4+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, video production, multimedia design, or a related creative discipline.

    • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating sophisticated motion graphics, editing, visual storytelling, and digital video work.

    • B2B technology, SaaS, or enterprise technology experience required.

    • Strong motion-design capabilities and a solid understanding of animation principles, pacing, transitions, typography, hierarchy, and composition.

    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.

    • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.

    • Proficiency with Figma, including the ability to independently navigate product design files, pull assets, modify UI elements, prepare screens for animation, and recreate or adapt interface elements when needed.

    • Demonstrated experience creating software/product animations, product demos, or UI-driven videos.

    • Hands-on experience using generative AI for video production required. You should be comfortable experimenting, prompting, iterating, troubleshooting outputs, and incorporating AI-generated assets into professional creative work.

    • Experience with current generative video and creative AI platforms such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Sora, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or comparable tools.

    • Strong visual storytelling instincts and the ability to determine what should be shown, animated, simplified, or removed to make a story land.

    • Ability to work from a loose brief and develop a creative approach—not simply execute a predetermined edit.

    • Strong script, storyboard, and concept-development skills.

    • Ability to understand complex technology and translate it into content that feels accessible, modern, and human.

    • Excellent attention to detail, particularly around UI accuracy, timing, typography, brand consistency, and production quality.

    • Strong project-management and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving marketing organization.

    • Comfortable receiving feedback, iterating quickly, and collaborating with creative and non-creative stakeholders.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience filming and directing interviews, testimonials, events, or lightweight live-action productions.

    • Experience with cameras, lighting, audio, and basic on-location production.

    • Experience working with product marketing teams on software launches and feature storytelling.

    • Familiarity with 3D, compositing, or tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender.

    • Experience creating reusable motion-design systems or branded video toolkits.

    • Familiarity with property technology, field service management, facilities management, real estate technology, or related industries.
