Description

In this role, you'll script, present, and help shape our visual storytelling. You'll work alongside editors, producers, and commercial teams to scale our presence on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Your daily work includes testing technology gadgets, from smartphones to gaming consoles. By creating highly engaging demos and narratives, you'll turn complex reviews into entertaining content.

What You'll Do

You will report into the Head of Video, Tom's Guide

  • Host original videos on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and livestream platforms with authentic presence.
  • Adapt to varied formats, spanning quick social shorts to polished multi-camera studio productions.
  • Script and refine editorial and sponsor-led content on tight deadlines.
  • Partner with editors and producers to coordinate shoots, conduct product research, and plan scenes.
  • Outline and pitch fresh video concepts, recurring series, and trending social ideas.
  • Provide clear feedback on edits to help shape our growing video channel.
What You’ll Bring
  • Background presenting on camera, hosting livestreams, or creating social-first media.
  • Strong scriptwriting skills with a focus on punchy, engaging storytelling.
  • Broad knowledge of consumer tech, including laptops, phones, and gaming gear.
  • Authentic presentation style, especially for branded or sponsored commercial campaigns.
  • Dynamic public speaking abilities, with a talent for interviewing and ad-libbing on camera.
  • Strategic approach to social video trends and audience behaviors.
  • On-camera portfolio demonstrating presenting, vlogging, or hosting experience.
  • Ability to work from our New York office.

The expected range for this role is $62,000 - $72,000. This is a hybrid role, working 2 days from the TK office.
