Job Description & Responsibilities

The Video Producer will work closely with the Video Production Manager to develop and execute compelling video and visual content that showcases Persistent Systems’ technology, people, capabilities, and mission. The Video Producer will serve as a key creative and production partner throughout the entire production process, from early concept development and pre-production through production, post-production, and final delivery. This role is responsible for turning complex ideas into polished content and for independently managing the execution of video productions. The position is highly hands-on and is ideal for a professional who enjoys both creative storytelling and technical production execution.


Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Video Production Manager during ideation, concept development, and creative planning
  • Develop concepts into practical production plans, treatments, shot lists, schedules, and production requirements
  • Independently lead and execute assigned video productions from pre-production through final delivery
  • Operate professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Capture high-quality video and photography for corporate, product, marketing, social, event, and field content
  • Proficient in video editing using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Conduct and produce interviews with executives, engineers, military personnel, customers, and subject-matter experts
  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) for shoots, events, demonstrations, conferences, and field exercises
  • Work comfortably and professionally within military environments, including on military installations and around military personnel and protocols
  • Edit projects independently and deliver polished content on schedule
  • Be comfortable editing while traveling or working in the field
  • Create both long-form and short-form content optimized for platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X
  • Manage footage, project files, backups, and post-production workflows
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts to gather information necessary to tell a compelling story
  • Coordinate with freelancers, vendors, and other production resources when needed
  • Maintain a high standard of visual quality and consistency across Persistent Systems’ video content
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions throughout the production process
Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in video production, filmmaking, media production, or a related field
  • Proficient in video editing software, including DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro and After Effects)
  • Experience managing the video production process from pre-production through post-production, including planning, shooting, editing, and final delivery
  • Proficient with professional camera equipment, lighting, audio, and basic production workflows
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, pacing, cinematography, and editing principles
  • Experience producing content for digital platforms, including YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social channels
  • Ability to develop and execute creative concepts based on project objectives, brand guidelines, and target audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with creative, marketing, technical, and subject-matter teams
  • Strong organizational and file-management skills, including experience with shared drives, asset management, project organization, and post-production workflows
  • Ability to receive and incorporate creative feedback while maintaining the overall creative vision and project objectives
  • Must be able to obtain a United States security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating motion graphics, animations, visual effects, and compositing in After Effects or similar software
  • Strong understanding of color correction, color grading, audio mixing, sound design, and finishing workflows
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative and production tools for ideation, pre-production, editing, motion graphics, and content development

Total compensation for this role can vary from $110,000 to $137,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
