Join the VIP Consignment team in the US!
The VIP Consignment team offers Vestiaire Collective’s VIP customers a white-glove selling service: We manage everything from at-home collections, copywriting, photography, price management, storage, and shipping on behalf of our clients.
We are looking for a VIP Consignment Key Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and is driven by new business acquisition. The primary focus of this role is to build a new client base, drive stock acquisition, grow our VIP consignment business in the US with a focus on New York City and ensure a seamless, high-quality experience. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with a deep understanding of luxury fashion and a passion for sustainability.
What you’ll be doing
Identify, target, and acquire new VIP clients to build a strong and valuable portfolio.
Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP clients to drive retention, repeat deposits, and sales growth.
Exceed targets by effectively managing your time and appointment schedule.
Proactively network, leveraging industry connections, events, and referrals to attract high-value clients.
Develop and implement innovative acquisition strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders.
Conduct at-home wardrobe appointments, curating luxury items and providing expert guidance on pricing and selling strategies.
Spend the majority of time- over 70%- in the field, cultivating client relationships and securing consigned items through personalized, in-home appointments.
Actively seek and implement feedback to optimize outreach and engagement tactics.
Communicate blockers and challenges effectively, ensuring timely support and solutions.
Manage client inventory to optimise listings, ensuring fast sales and maximum profitability.
Act as a brand ambassador, representing Vestiaire Collective at events and fostering partnerships to expand the VIP consignment business.
Who you are
2+ years of experience in luxury sales, business development, personal shopping, or a client-facing luxury role.
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with an established luxury client book that will convert into new VIP consignment clients and deposits.
Proven track record in acquiring and retaining high-net-worth clients.
Able to commit to a 40-hour workweek with occasional off-hours; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
Proactive and commercially driven, with a self-starting mindset and the ability to work autonomously towards ambitious targets.
Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and business needs.
Deep understanding of the luxury market, including brand knowledge, pricing & market trends, and the needs of discerning sellers.
Highly organised and detail-oriented, managing multiple clients, appointments, and inventory efficiently.
Excellent communicator, confident in liaising with both external VIP clients and internal stakeholders to drive business success.
Comfortable working across office and client-facing settings, balancing in-person wardrobe appointments with strategic planning and business development.
Proficient in G-Suite, Salesforce, CRM, and other relevant digital tools.
