This position may be located in the NYC area or Tysons/ DC area.

TEGNA is seeking a Vice President of Integrated Marketing to lead demand generation and accelerate advertising revenue growth through strategic sales marketing initiatives. This executive will be responsible for building a high-performance prospecting engine to fuel the sales pipeline, crafting data-driven marketing campaigns that attract and nurture qualified leads, and developing persuasive sales enablement tools and sponsorship packages tailored to high-value local and regional advertisers.
Success will be defined by measurable increases in lead volume, lead-to-opportunity conversion rates, sales team productivity, win rates, and revenue growth from category-driven and custom sponsorship solutions.
Responsibilities:
•    Build and optimize a sales prospecting engine: Drive qualified advertising leads through content marketing, targeted campaigns, and automated nurture workflows.
•    Oversee content creation and distribution: Align multi-channel content with the buyer’s journey to increase engagement and conversion rates.
•    Develop category-specific sales materials and presentations: Using industry trends, audience data, and vertical insights, create materials to empower local sales teams in effectively pitching TEGNA’s multi-platform solutions.
•    Conduct and synthesize research: Provide actionable insights to sales teams by researching key advertising category verticals to inform go-to-market strategies.
•    Design and fulfill integrated sponsorship packages: Leverage Tegna’s broadcast, digital, and streaming assets to create and deliver impactful sponsorship packages.
•    Partner with sales and production teams: Ensure seamless execution and delivery of sponsorship commitments.
Qualifications:
•    15+ years’ experience in integrated marketing, sales enablement, or advertising, preferably within media or broadcast environments.
•    Proven track record of building lead generation engines and content-driven marketing campaigns.
•    Strong background in developing sales materials and conducting category research for advertising sales teams.
•    Experience designing and fulfilling multi-platform sponsorship packages.
•    Leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and innovation.
•    Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
•    Experience navigating cultural and operational shifts in large, matrixed organizations.
•    Passion for consumer-first storytelling and local community impact.
•    Operational rigor for simplification and scalability.
•    Executive presence with strong communication skills—able to distill complexity into clarity.
•    A track record of turning insights into business outcomes across platforms and disciplines.
•    Comfort leading through change and ambiguity while staying anchored in strategic purpose.

Pay Range
$200,000$280,000 USD

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
