The Opportunity
We are looking for a VP of Business Systems to serve as our internal technology leader that’s responsible for the systems, tools, and platforms that power MeridianLink's operations. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will lead the enterprise IT strategy and be the driving force behind our internal AI transformation, helping every function in the company work smarter, faster, and more effectively.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a builder who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution.
What You'll Own
Enterprise IT Leadership
Own and evolve the enterprise technology stack across all internal functions including Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations
Lead and develop a team of business systems, and enterprise applications professionals
Establish IT governance, security posture, and compliance standards appropriate in the fintech industry serving regulated customers

Own the IT Service Desk function, setting the standard for employee experience, responsiveness, and resolution quality — with a strong emphasis on automation-first support, self-service capabilities, and AI-assisted ticketing to reduce manual effort and drive faster time-to-resolution
Internal AI Transformation
Define and execute MeridianLink's internal AI strategy — identifying the highest-value opportunities across every business function
Partner with Go-to-Market, Finance, Customer Experience, and Operations leaders to embed AI-powered workflows, automation, and decision-making tools providing technical depth and implementation support.
Build the internal metrics and systems foundation required to support scalable AI adoption
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through technology and AI literacy across the organization
Business Systems & Applications
Own the roadmap for core enterprise applications (CRM, ERP, HRIS, CS platforms, etc.)
Ensure systems are integrated, reliable, and scalable to support MeridianLink's growth
Partner closely with functional leaders to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions
Partner to drive data quality, visibility, and access across the organization
Strategic Partnership
Serve as a key technology advisor to the executive team and board on internal IT matters
Align IT investments with company goals and business priorities
Partner with the product and engineering organization to ensure internal and external systems work in concert
What We're Looking For
Experience
15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a VP equivalent role
Experience in SaaS, fintech, or other high-growth technology companies strongly preferred
Proven track record leading enterprise-wide business systems organizations
Demonstrated success driving AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives at scale
Leadership
Strong people leader who can recruit, develop, and retain top IT talent
Excellent cross-functional collaborator — equally comfortable with a CFO, a sales leader, or an engineer
Executive presence with the ability to influence without authority and communicate complex technology concepts to non-technical audiences
Partner with the data organization to deliver Enterprise data solutions
Technical Depth
Deep knowledge of enterprise application ecosystems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Hubspot, M365, copilot or equivalents)
Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, workflow automation tools, and modern data infrastructure
Understanding of IT security, compliance, and risk management in regulated industries
Why MeridianLink
High-visibility executive role with direct CTO partnership and board-level exposure
