What you'll be responsible for:
Circle is seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to define and scale our global ecosystem strategy across developers, startups, partners, and community contributors. As VP of Ecosystem & Community, you'll oversee Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, Ecosystem Growth, Alliance Enablement, and Global Community. Your mission is to create Circle's "front door" for all builders-lowering barriers to entry, accelerating innovation, and converting engagement into measurable adoption and advocacy. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Ventures, Partnerships, and Comms to position Circle as the platform of choice for Web3 and Web2 builders alike.
What you'll work on:
  • Define and lead a global ecosystem strategy that spans developers, founders, startups, alliance members, and institutional builders.
  • Build Circle's unified "ecosystem front door" by designing a seamless experience from onboarding to long-term engagement.
  • Oversee Developer Relations and Developer Marketing programs that deliver technical enablement, educational content, and go-to-market support.
  • Lead global community strategy across online channels, events, AMAs, workshops, and regional builder programs.
  • Collaborate with Arc, Alliance, and Ventures teams to activate and grow high-potential builders through structured programs.
  • Maintain strong feedback loops with Product and Engineering to enhance APIs, documentation, and the overall developer experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally to integrate ecosystem storytelling into brand, growth, and GTM efforts, while representing Circle externally.

What you'll bring to Circle:
Core Requirements:
  • 15+ years in developer marketing, developer relations, product/platform ecosystems, or community leadership.
  • Proven track record building and scaling global ecosystems across fintech, crypto, developer tools, or adjacent industries.
  • Strong technical fluency in APIs, blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and developer workflows.
  • Demonstrated success building multidisciplinary teams across community, technical marketing, and developer enablement.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Growth, Ventures, and Partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across formats: keynotes, blogs, events, and technical forums.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with Ethereum, Solana, Base, L2 ecosystems, stablecoins, and/or DeFi platforms.
  • Deep empathy for builders across Web2 and Web3-developers, founders, startups, and partners.
  • Passion for Circle's mission to increase global economic prosperity through programmable internet money.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to or experience in multi-region developer community development (LATAM, Africa, Southeast Asia, etc.).

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
Base Pay Range: $292,500 - $335,000
