Company Description

Tap is modernizing the multi-trillion dollar private fund space. From dams in Sub-Saharan Africa to startups in Silicon Valley, global economic progress is financed through private funds. Limited Partners (LPs) invest in funds that pursue specific strategies, such as infrastructure or venture capital. When these LPs want to change their holdings, they can’t open their Charles Schwab account and submit a buy or sell order. Instead, they have to rely on an opaque network of brokers, leading many LPs not to sell at all. Tap is unlocking the ability for LPs to sell their holdings, and for others to buy these holdings in the first secondary market for private fund interests.

Our platform includes a marketplace and transactional tools to help buyers and sellers connect and transact. Today the platform is used by a full range of players - from focused $40M funds, through diversified $500M funds, and $30B mega funds.

Our team of experienced operators comes from Evercore, Carta, Apollo, Bloomberg, and Goldman Sachs. We are backed by leading early-stage VCs, including Fin Capital (the premier fintech fund) and Precursor Ventures (which is run by the Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association). Our angel investors include founders and executives from Carta and AngelList.

You will be joining a lean team moving at breakneck speed to build the digital infrastructure for private fund transactions.
