Why this role is important to Arcadia

Arcadia is building a direct-to–Life Sciences commercial function as a strategic growth pillar of the company. The Vice President, Life Sciences Sales will be the founding direct seller, responsible for originating, shaping, and closing enterprise relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

This is a true end-to-end commercial role. You will hunt for new opportunities, leverage your network, lead senior-level discovery conversations, scope and price solutions, negotiate contracts, and partner closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and long-term client satisfaction.

This role is designed for a senior life sciences seller with deep fluency in data, analytics, and evidence-based solutions—someone who understands how pharma organizations buy across the development lifecycle and who wants to build, not inherit, a book of business, a sales motion, and ultimately a sales organization.

What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Build a deep understanding of Arcadia’s Life Sciences data, solutions, operating model, and delivery capabilities
- Establish credibility and working rhythm with Product, Data, Ops, Delivery, Legal, and Finance
- Reactivate and develop an initial set of qualified pharma and biotech opportunities leveraging existing relationships
- Shape early messaging and positioning for direct Life Sciences selling

In 6 months
- Advance a meaningful, qualified pipeline aligned to pharma planning and budgeting cycles
- Close at least one initial direct Life Sciences deal or be in late-stage contracting on priority opportunities
- Demonstrate strong deal scoping discipline with smooth handoffs into delivery
- Provide actionable market feedback influencing packaging, pricing, or roadmap prioritization

In 12 months
- Establish a repeatable direct sales motion with consistent pipeline generation and closed revenue
- Close multiple enterprise or multi-year Life Sciences deals with clear expansion potential
- Build strong executive-level relationships where Arcadia is viewed as a strategic partner
- Help define the hiring plan and structure for scaling the direct Life Sciences sales organization

What You'll Be Doing

  • ORIGINATE AND CLOSE NEW LIFE SCIENCES REVENUE
  • Own direct revenue generation across pharma and biotech accounts, with a focus on enterprise and multi-year opportunities
  • Proactively source and develop new opportunities using an existing network across R&D, HEOR, medical, market access, and commercial teams
  • Establish Arcadia as a credible, differentiated partner for real-world data and clinically connected solutions
  • Prioritize opportunities aligned with Arcadia’s differentiated data, analytics, and provider-connected capabilities

  • LEAD SOLUTION SELLING ACROSS THE PHARMA DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE
  • Lead discovery conversations across early research, clinical development, HEOR/RWE, market access, and commercial analytics
  • Translate complex client needs into well-scoped solutions that balance data, analytics, services, and delivery realities
  • Guide clients toward use cases where Arcadia can deliver outsized value, not lowest-friction data transactions
  • Align solutions to client budgeting and planning cycles, including annual and multi-year funding processes

  • OWN THE END-TO-END COMMERCIAL DEAL LIFECYCLE
  • Exercise strong commercial judgment on deal structure, pricing, and scope to protect margin and delivery integrity
  • Own the full lifecycle:
  • o  Opportunity qualification
  • o  Solution design and scoping
  • o  Proposal and SOW development
  • o  Pricing and commercial structuring
  • o  Contract negotiation and close
  • Partner closely with legal, finance, and leadership to finalize terms efficiently

  • COORDINATE EXECUTION AND DELIVER HANDOFF
  • Translate commercial commitments into delivery-ready plans that teams can execute without rework
  • Stay actively involved through early delivery to ensure scope, timelines, and outcomes remain aligned
  • Act as the commercial quarterback between clients and internal teams
  • Work closely with Ops, Delivery, Product, and Data to ensure clean handoffs and high client satisfaction

  • DEFINE AND SCALE THE LIFE SCIENCES SALES FUNCTION
  • Help define Arcadia’s life sciences sales motion, value narrative, and early GTM strategy
  • Establish what “good” looks like for LS deals in terms of scope, economics, and delivery fit
  • Provide direct market feedback into product roadmap, packaging, and pricing
  • Over time, contribute to hiring, mentoring, and scaling the direct sales organization

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience selling into pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology companies
  • Demonstrated success selling data-, analytics-, or evidence-driven solutions (RWD, RWE/HEOR, clinical analytics, or adjacent offerings)
  • Proven track record closing complex, consultative deals end to end
  • Deep understanding of pharma buying dynamics, including budgeting cycles and multi-stakeholder decision-making
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, analytics, delivery, legal, and finance teams
  • Strong executive presence, commercial judgment, and comfort operating in build-mode environments

Would Love For You To Have

  • Prior experience scaling a new product line or commercial function
  • Existing senior pharma relationships that can accelerate early pipeline development

What You'll Get

  • Arcadia brings a rare advantage to Life Sciences: a market-leading, scaled payer and provider platform as its foundation
  • For more than a decade, Arcadia has been the trusted data and analytics partner to health systems, physician groups, and payers nationwide. That core business provides deep, longitudinal clinical and claims data, embedded clinical workflows, and durable relationships across the healthcare ecosystem
  • Building on this foundation, Arcadia has assembled a large, de-identified real-world dataset combining claims and clinically rich EHR data sourced directly from provider systems. The result is a longitudinal, research-grade asset with depth and clinical context that is difficult to replicate through aggregation alone
  • Life Sciences is a strategic pillar built on this foundation. Arcadia has made a deliberate, multi-year investment in:
  • ·   Purpose-built real-world data assets
  •    - Clinically connected solutions that link insight back into provider workflows
  • ·   A growing research and collaboration ecosystem to expand data use rights
  • ·   Dedicated leadership, product, data, and operational resources
  • The opportunity is to sell—and help shape—solutions that connect data, analytics, and real-world clinical activation across the pharma development lifecycle, backed by enterprise credibility and executive commitment
  • This role is a founding, hands-on commercial leadership role, accountable for building the direct Life Sciences revenue engine, and deeply involved in shaping deals, messaging, and market positioning
  • This role is not a channel-only or account maintenance role, a narrowly scoped quota-carrying role with a fixed playbook, and insulated from product, delivery, or execution realities
