The Job

The Tax-Exempt VP, Managing Director is a collaborative role providing strategic work and consulting to Higher Education, HealthCare and other non-profit organizations in order to help them enhance the value of their retirement program and ensure their satisfaction with Fidelity. The role requires working from home and someone who is comfortable or has had experience working remotely and independently from a personal home-based office or Fidelity Regional Site. The position requires 50% travel. #REMOTE

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of industry experience

  • 5+years confirmed ability to work directly with Institutional Clients and/or Participants

  • Series 7 & 63 licenses required  upfront

  • Ability to travel 60% mostly within East Coast region

  • Relationship Building , Consultative Selling , Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Develops and maintain a strong network of business partners across Fidelity

  • Handles difficult client interactions for a complex book of business/client problems

  • Makes decisions based on long-term view of trends, issues and business implications and cross-Fidelity impacts

  • Influences and gains acceptance of ideas and suggestions from senior business executives

  • Drives client satisfaction and loyalty via Net Promoter Score

  • Develops a comprehensive relationship management strategy, including business planning,

  • Proactively educates and leads consultants in multi-vendor relationships to position for consolidation at Fidelity

  • Creates opportunities to diversify revenue via cross selling, Personalized Planning and Advice, Health Savings accounts, Self-Directed Brokerage, Health & Welfare and Benefits Consulting opportunities

The Team

The VP, Managing Director is a member of the Relationship Management team in Fidelity’s Tax-Exempt business which is provides Retirement Plan Services to Non-Profit Organizations. Primary goals include protecting the Fidelity brand name, retention, and revenue generation. This role maintains and builds the highest-level client relationships with key decision makers, influencers and C- suite committee members. The VP handles a Book-of-Business which consists of 7-10 Strategic clients totaling more than $10B in assets. The Fidelity line of business is primarily Retirement but can include additional products and services. The role also leads an internal team of service-based associates and partners across the organization to solve client problems and create solutions..

 

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $200,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
