GenLogs is a hardware, software, and data company building the next generation of Truck Intelligence™. Our mission is to build unbreakable supply chains in order to make our world safer and stronger. Through a nationwide network of sensors, we help our customers source carriers, eliminate fraud and theft, and provide real-time visibility on every truck in America. By operating at the intersection of edge sensing, computer vision, AI-driven analytics, and large-scale field deployment, GenLogs is transforming how transportation data is captured, secured, and commercialized.

About The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic, and growth-obsessed Vice President of Marketing to lead our global marketing strategy. In this role, you will define and execute the go-to-market (GTM) playbook across our five primary core verticals: Small Carriers, Logistics Service Providers (Freight Brokers and Large Carriers), Shippers, Insurance, and Public Sector.

As VP of Marketing, you will own brand positioning, demand generation, product marketing, and communications. You will be responsible for translating complex computer vision and AI telemetry data into compelling, ROI-driven narratives that speak to diverse decision-makers—from fleet owners and logistics executives to insurance underwriters, risk analysts, and public safety officials.

Key Responsibilities

Vertical GTM & Positioning Strategy

  • Build and execute targeted go-to-market strategies tailored to our five core buyer personas:
    • Small Carriers: Position GenLogs as an essential tool for carrier growth, fleet optimization, freight matching, and asset security.
    • Logistics Service Providers (Freight Brokers & Large Carriers): Market our fraud-prevention, carrier-vetting, capacity-sourcing, and enterprise visibility solutions.
    • Shippers: Communicate real-time cargo visibility, lane optimization, carrier compliance, and supply chain security benefits.
    • Insurance: Articulate how GenLogs transforms motor carrier underwriting, policy compliance, chameleon carrier detection, and claims investigations.
    • Public Sector: Drive positioning around infrastructure management, commercial vehicle enforcement, tolling accuracy, freight flow analysis, and public safety/law enforcement applications.
  • Craft vertical-specific messaging, value propositions, and sales enablement assets for each buyer segment.

2. Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth

  • Own the full-funnel marketing strategy to drive predictable, scalable enterprise and public sector pipeline across inbound and outbound channels.
  • Lead account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns targeting enterprise LSPs, Fortune 500 shippers, major insurance carriers, state DOTs, and law enforcement agencies, alongside scalable demand generation for small carriers.
  • Optimize digital channels, performance marketing, content marketing, industry events/trade shows, and strategic partnerships.

3. Product Marketing & Thought Leadership

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to launch new features, proprietary indices, and data products across commercial and government verticals.
  • Establish GenLogs as the recognized authority in freight intelligence, cargo theft prevention, public safety data, and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Author and oversee white papers, ROI calculators, case studies, and industry reports leveraging GenLogs’ massive proprietary dataset.

4. Leadership & Team Building

  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a world-class marketing organization spanning Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Content, Brand, and Communications.
  • Define and track key performance metrics (CAC, LTV, MQL/SQL pipeline, win rates, brand share of voice) and present insights regularly to executive leadership and the Board.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing leadership experience in SaaS, enterprise data analytics, AI, or supply chain technology.
  • Proven multi-vertical marketing experience selling enterprise solutions into at least two of the target sectors (Freight Brokerage, Shippers, Commercial Insurance, Financial Institutions).
  • Track record of building enterprise demand engines from early growth through rapid scaling stages ($30M to $300M+ ARR).
  • High analytical acumen with experience using data-driven storytelling to sell complex hardware/software ecosystems.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a high-growth Series B–C technology startup.
  • Experience working with IoT, computer vision, geospatial data, or physical AI networks.
